I've just joined up, but can't seem to join the Barbelith region, as it's password protected.

Can anyone furnish me with said code-word? I'll be on the bench outside King's Cross, with a yellow carnation in the button-hole of my dark, worn trenchcoat...........

I have sent the top secret password to Stevie in a confidential private message.

I look forward to Duplatia entering our region. (Is that a double entendre?)

Not F2B is now a Complete Anarchy. This means we will be enacting no new legislation and undertaking a program of repealing existing legislation that maintained the previous hierarchy.

aus
00:46 / 10.11.03
BTW, if anyone's interested, refugees from other nations are flocking to Not F2B's border, there are no subsidies for any special interest groups, elevator music has been replaced by thrash metal played at maximum volume, a niche industry catering to S&M enthusiasts has sprung up, and crime is totally unknown.

Fellow Nations of the Barbelith region:

Many of the people of The Complete Anarchy of Not F2B have become very concerned about the direction that our neighbouring nation of F2B has recently taken. According to UN reports, the F2B is now ruled by a corrupt dictatorship that styles itself as a "Rogue Oligarchy."

Although F2B citizens seem relatively unoppressed, it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet. There is still a judicial system separate from the legislative/executive branch of government, and the Supreme Court protects civil rights and the right to privacy vehemently. However, we are concerned that the oligarchic government of F2B has seized all major gold finds. Of even greater concern is that The Rogue Oligarchy of F2B is experiencing a severe shortage of sporting events. We are beginning to experience a new wave of refugees at our borders - former professional athletes, and aspiring participants including players, coaches, officials and even the more fanatical spectators.

While we don't advocate any specific action at this time, many of us are of the opinion that future developments within The Rogue Oligarcy of F2B should be observed closely.

With great concern,
The Complete Anarchy of Not F2B.

cc: The Free Land of Carteria, UN delegate.

Gridley is ranked 1st in the region and 29th in the world (out of 83,684 nations) for Best Weather. Not bad, Gridley!

Maybe someone else will post here if I ask for help.

Has anyone else had the question of which power source to choose: environment-friendly solar/wind, abundant but dirty coal, or reliable but dangerous nukes?

If so, what did you choose and what was the outcome?

Welcome, Linxy - let's make Barbelith an example to the world! etc..

C'mon fellow Barbeloids, help us spearhead the Barbinvasion - it's cool, easy, totally non-demanding game to play, and it makes your cock bigger too!

Yes, it's not one of those nasty games where you have to stand up or get sweaty or anything like that. You can get by on visiting once a week, if you like, though once a day is probably better.

I join in welcoming Linxy to our region.

Because otherwise "griefers" (eeek! pirates!) invade the region, take over the UN delegate role and kick us all out.

The Sultanate of Gridley is ranked last in the region and only 84,043rd in the world for Stupidest Citizens, even though their official motto is "Where Mystics of All Faiths Gather to Comtemplate (sic) Ass (sic again)." Check your dictionary, gridley!

Gridley seems to be a land of extremes, being ranked 1st in the region and 31st in the world for Most Beautiful Environments. That's 31st out of 85,479. What's your secret?

The Holy Empire of Reabridge has just joined the region of Barbelith. I haven't joined the UN yet though - seem like a bunch of quiche-eating chatter monkeys to me. Please advise.

Joining the UN provides another interesting, little variable. It also enables you to help choose the UN delegate nation. The UN delegate has certain powers that you might want to influence.

I'll give it a go. From what I've seen, I can always leave if they insist on disbanding my death squads. I visited barbelith's region and Gridley's buggered off. Have I missed something?

What happened? I thought I'd replied to this.

Anyway, I wrote something about the Sultanate of Gridley having in its population many people with a great deal of Chucklehead ethnicity. As such, they find themselves having much in common with other nations in the Fadetoblack region.

Was about to join the UN, and then everything went down. I'm not even sure if my measure to burn all the Harry potter books has been implemented yet.
Talking about chuckleheads, I've been examining the forums... some of these people scare me. Especially the people roleplaying star wars universes... 'I've shot down Luke!' 'No you haven't, coz you can't.' 'And you can't blow up the death star 3 with a crippled mon calamari cruiser, as it's still shielded.' 'So. It was still shielded in Jedi, and it helped.'
And they started out playing so nice together and now they're just down to bitching... ooh, hang on...

I'm not getting a positive response. Please help!

Like to help, but the UN are holding my application for membership up. But you're right, ducks should be emancipated. Geese on the other hand, should be turned over to wholesale produciton of foi gras. Mmmm.

It's gotta be the ducks.

According to the recent poll, the Dominion of Mai-Ké is tired of life in Yggdrasil and would like to move to Barbelith. Mai-Kéans hope that our lovely beaches and rainforests will be moved without causing any damage to the environment. If you don't mind some temporary noise caused by a fleet of military-grade choppers, can I please have the password?

aus
04:09 / 02.12.03
I'm sorry, but the password for entry to the region (i.e., invisiocracy) is a secret. We can't share sensitive information like this with anyone who doesn't already know that the password is "invisiocracy". I'm sure you understand that if we let just anyone know that the password is "invisiocracy", we'd have all sorts of undesirable nations entering our region.

The Inclusive Collective of Not F2B has been listed by the UN as the most politically free nation in the Barbelith region. The people of Not F2B take great pride in their highly valued political freedom. However, as we are only 19,552nd in the world, we recognize that we still have some way to go.

66,431st in the world, which is a disappointment. We should be lower.
Political freedom is distracting from the important things in life, like consumerism and praying. And I have the strangest feeling that it might cause the population to stop being obedient.
