Don't make this dependent on my schedule. The car's busted and I just landed a new job, so I have no clue what's going on. Besides, I'm a bad, bad person. I hitchike.
The only locales I'm really familiar with are the comic shops and pizza joints. And ice cream parlours. And video arcades. And the best busking spots.
I can't speak for all non-drinkers, but hanging out in a pub is alright by me, though I prefer something with a dancefloor. Blow Up!
Baz, when hitchiking I tend to stand at the base of an off-ramp. If you're hitchiking right on the highway, a lot of cars will be going by too fast to spot you. That only applies to the major highways, like the QEW. Smaller highways, like around the North Bay/Sudbury area are usually pretty sparse and are perfect for hitchiking. You probably won't spend anymore than an hour or two waiting, though I'd say 30-45 minutes is a good average.
There should be better instructions for hitchiking in the guidebooks. Wusses. |
