actually flux, you're on the mark now that i think of it. i'm doing the art school thing in Philadelphia, University of the Arts to be exact, and everyone here is currently sporting the somewhat annoying used-clothing-store-emo-dashboard-confessional-look. i find my own look, a mix of i-enjoy-clubbing-but-am-not-a-clubber and jeans-make-a-great-washcloth-for-my-brushes, to be much more comfortable and much less pretentious and costly (vintage stores out here are too fucking pricey). my style blends in but stands out due to the fact that none of my t-shirts have summer camp or triple-a baseball team logos on them and i don't wear chuck taylor's due to their flimsy materials. my body type is pretty atypical for the artist though.
and i don't trust other people with my hair, so i do all of the dying myself. have done so for about nine years, so i've gotten pretty good at it. the most recent change was to make it black with purple and orange streaks, like i said before, but i've since washed most of the purple out of it, leaving behind a nice orange/blond that looks great under black lights.
where'd you got to school at, flux? and when did you graduate? curiosity killed the Max... ;-) |
