After doing a quick web search, it seems that there are no pictures of myself online.

So, here's a picture of my mother and her dolls I found on Google:I do have a resemblance.

Let me just toss a little bit of this action...

...up in the house. The pic is not really a picture of me per se (it's Richie Hawtin A.K.A. Plastikman, in fact), as I don't have anything close to a current picture anywhere on the 'net (or a scanner), but it bears a damned uncanny resemblance to yours truly when my pate is more cleanly-shorn than it currently is. The dozens of raver-kids who've told me so can't be wrong. Unless they were all rolling at the time...

Actually, I just remembered: There are pix of moi out there on the web. I got steaming drunk at this party awhile back and someone had a digital camera, so there's these pictures out there of me pulling faces and generally looking like a complete fuckbake. Thank god they're password protected.

(P.S.- Lurid, if you're reading this: don't even THINK about it.)

And there are no pictures anyway. So there.

Not Here Still

There was once a picture that looked uncannily like me in the Face - it was when the Phantom Menace came out, and the drawing was meant to look like a Star Wars toy-collecting Trip Hop geek in the style of James Lavelle. It looked so uncannily like me I was considering suing for about a day, and someone at Uni I didn't know came up to point it out to me. It's now on my 'failed novel ideas' book, but I don't have a scanner, so you don't get to see it.

i look kind of like your stereotypical art student: manga hair (black with purple and orange streaks), both ears pierced, used to have a nose ring until it fell out (sadness), lots of long sleeve shirts and paint-spattered jeans, doc marten's, 5'11, broad-shouldered, small-handed, twenty four year old irish american. oldest kid in my graduating class! ;-)

Maximus, I don't know what art school you go to, but in my experience, that's actually not a stereotypical art school look.

But I went to art school in NYC, which actually does change things a bit...

i dunno flux, that description gave me visuals... in fact, i think the perdominant art school around here makes it mandatory to dye your hair goofy colors (usually with the wrong dye too, so it doesn't look good in any way(personally i like funny, well-done dye jobs))

You have that old "one side of my face is squashed against the wall" problem, Tez. It'll clear up once the alcohol's out of your system and the blood flow is restored to normal: a version of the old Friday Night Palsy.

Could be worse, this is me:

actually flux, you're on the mark now that i think of it. i'm doing the art school thing in Philadelphia, University of the Arts to be exact, and everyone here is currently sporting the somewhat annoying used-clothing-store-emo-dashboard-confessional-look. i find my own look, a mix of i-enjoy-clubbing-but-am-not-a-clubber and jeans-make-a-great-washcloth-for-my-brushes, to be much more comfortable and much less pretentious and costly (vintage stores out here are too fucking pricey). my style blends in but stands out due to the fact that none of my t-shirts have summer camp or triple-a baseball team logos on them and i don't wear chuck taylor's due to their flimsy materials. my body type is pretty atypical for the artist though.

and i don't trust other people with my hair, so i do all of the dying myself. have done so for about nine years, so i've gotten pretty good at it. the most recent change was to make it black with purple and orange streaks, like i said before, but i've since washed most of the purple out of it, leaving behind a nice orange/blond that looks great under black lights.

where'd you got to school at, flux? and when did you graduate? curiosity killed the Max... ;-)

holy shit, MO, University of the Arts was the exact school i was referring to in my last post! i'm sorry,i don't mean to imply that you're not unique, but you know what i'm talking about: first day of classes the faculty hands out tubes of red dye to anyone interested! (i'm up the street at TU, by the way)

It's IMG SRC not SCR (for 'image source', see?).
I moderated a change, so it should come through as soon as someone else sees it.
