How great was that programme?! I just found the soundtrack my sister had hidden away and nearly pissed myself at the Wheels quote on there (No, I'm not repeating the whole thing!), so I was wonderng... what did everyone think of it? I'm aware Tim Beasly isn';t going to win any awards for Sit-Com Character Most Likely To Turn Whoile Viewing Auidence Onto Comics, but still... how cool?!

Err yeah. Or summin'

I missed too much of series 2, which I need on video, but 1 was excellent. It actually was better than the trailers and hype suggested - not that naff at all.

The Tim-plays-too-much-Resident-Evil one was very good... but best of all was the one explainaing the one thing guys CANNOT stop doing (bang! bang bang! dakka dakka!) which was perfect.

And Mark Heap rocks.

My BF actually did that a few years ago. He was writing up his thesis at the time and getting about three hours sleep a night, and his only lesuire activity was playing Resi. He used to scream whenever I walked into the room.

But Spaced... yeah, that show is deadly. It has more head-in-the-hands, oh-my-God-that's-me moments than anything else on TV.

I'm turning into that landlady, BTW.

I will break my Barbelith vow of silence just to agree with everyone here that Spaced was, is and will be The Fuckest Uppest.

Is the second series being released on video anytime soon.I've nearly worn out my copy of the first season and I (oh the shame) missed a good few episodes of the second.
Funny coincidence, talking to a bloke in the pub, who I didn't think was into spaced, and he started regaling me with the tale of this show where the ending of an episode was identical(well in most ways) to the ending of the empire strikes back.
"Spaced?" I say say with a raised eyebrow. He is now a full convert.HAHA!

True, it's all true. Spaced is one of the funniest things i've ever seen on tv... I completely missed Series 2, though - does anyone know if they're planning to re-run it?

The DVD of Series 1 is pretty good, quite a lot of extras, but the deleted scenes, well, you can see why they were...

"Awright, Brian..."

The wonderful things is that it is the anti-Fast Show. There's very little quotable lines in it and the few that are tend to be from something else ("At last I shall emerge the victor, at last i shall have my revenge").

Good news! Series 2 of 'Black Books' is being filmed now!

Spaced was funny, but that geezer who works as a courier is a rip-off of Ravey Davey Gravey.

While it's not quoteable, saying "It's all so... " "Bland?" "Yes... " (Twist abd Brian) from Series One makes me and my Spaced loving friend piss ourselves.

The Soundtrack is worth buying, and has quotes on it.

And I got Season One on video today! Whacking stick is in place, my sister will never have it now...

Best spisode of Season One? Toss up between the one where Tim plays Resident Evil too much and the one where they go save Colin.

Best of Season Two? The one with the mental gunfights and continuos "It's too orangey for crows" quotes.

Thanks for the tip on the soundtrack, Pin. Looks like that will be mine. Oh yes.

No comments from people about the Rave episode ? Probably my fave in series one - the bit where Mike appears in his jester's hat as the A-Team theme blares out is smashing... (there's a sentence that you don't type everyday).

Not quotable!
Me and the flatmate say "..Shit!" in that way that they do, all the time now.
We can't stop!
Also up for strangest thing to do when in the pub with normal people is to wave your hands in front of your face while shouting "rabbit, rabbit, rabbit, rabbit, rabbit!"We laugh and rest of pub stares at us.
Shit!

Wow Blacks Books series 2, well thats cheered me up, hope they repeat season one as I missed large chunks of it.
Oh and apparently Bill Bailey can speak fluent Klingon...so I am told at least.
He never did much in Spaced apart from deck that bloke for dissing the Green Arrow.

As for Spaced the Courier bloke is a real person I actually know, well ok a few mad clubbing people I used to know in the North East combined. Scary people I had to drink at least a bottle of cola to be able to interact with them.
Hope the season 2 video is out soon.

It's Pure Class in every way, and a lot more honest than most comedies.

Nothing more to add, other than if you haven't already, go here.

Spaced's real genius is that it's a geeky, film studenty, beautfully shot show, masquerading as a show for Sky magazine reading, Ali G quoting, Ayia Napa visiting rave-gimps...

"Can you get me some porn?"

"No Tim, I will not get you porn. You can get it from railway sidings like everyone else..."

"But I'm an adult! I'm supposed to leave it there!"

That's my fave of series one as well, and strangely enough, the same holds true for The Office. The club episode should be mandatory for every show.

Finally got an All-Reege and a copy of the three disc set and have spent the last few days surreptitiously emailing my friend (who's already seen the series) quotes as I watched.

Needless to say, I loved it. As much as the second shoot out was fun, nothing can compare to the beginning of the first.

"Shall we show him, Tim?"
"No, I'm not really in the -- ohhhhh shhhhiiiiiiitttttt."

But, yeah, late the party and all but shit. That was fucking fantastic.

You can't dangle the bogus carrot of possible reconciliation in front of my face whilst riding some other donkey!

The day after I watched all of Series 1 back-to-back (o! glorious sick days) I had a work evening meal (never too ill for free food). We had all pre-ordered our meals for expedience purposes. Rabbit was one option for the main course. The moment the fully-loaded silver service waiters emerged, enquiring "rabbit? rabbit? rabbit? rabbit?" was decidedly one of my more surreal.

What's even scarier is that the actor, Smiley, is exactly like that in real life, I'm told.
