Hmmm...I had a male cat named Misty as well...My condolences, Ellis.

As for sexy flicks...Titus immediately came to mind, as Alan Cumming in full-makeup mode never fails to get my rocks off...

And Anita Pallenberg as the Great Tyrant in Barbarella warped my adolescent mind in the most delicious manner. (Very unfortunate that most copies of the movie in circulation have edited out the scene where the Great Tyrant seduces Barbarella ... )

Indeed.

"Essence of Man..."

"An angel doesn't make love; an angel is love..."

Etc.

Here are links to two pics from the censored seduction scene between the Great Tyrant and Barbarella.

There's this french movie called "Beau Père", where a girl falls in love for her stepfather and... it just got hot in here, or is it me?

I hope they release an uncensored version of that film...

Do we agree that the ending of Barbarella makes much more sense now that we know what really went on in the Chamber of Dreams?

oh we always knew we just never sawbefore...what with angels usually being eunuchs an' all.

I *may* be becoming desensitized to the hunger having seen that scene many, many times...I'll have to try it out again. Did y'all know Susan Sarandon scripted the whole whoops i've split sherry on my breast pretext?

Ah, David Bowie in the shower. His ass was truly sublime.

I'm probably alone on this one, but there were bits of Earth Girls Are Easy which were pretty tasty. Jeff Goldblum did the tall dark and handsome alien from another world thing quite well.

I saw Barbarella on cable as a very young child. I wondered why I laid in bed my underbelly felt so odd.

Geez, Pin, Ellis, the beginnings of this thread started out like a spluttering, old hand-cranked car - thank Allah it finally ignited -
Here's a few that I can remember (none are exclusively erotic, but . . .):
"Betty Blue"- Beatrice Dalle
"Unbearable lightness of Being" DDLewis, Lena Olin and Juliette Binoche
"The comfort of strangers" -Helen Mirren, Rupert Everett, Christopher Walken
"Exotica" - Atom Egoyan directed

Well, you all know I'm deeply sad anyway, so I have no hesitation in admitting this.

Cruel Intentions.

Oh, and Labyrinth, but that's really just me. It was in a collision course with my nascent sexuality in 1986 and the outcome was inevitabl.

Can't believe nobody's mentioned "9 1/2 Weeks" yet. Kim Basinger crawling all slow & senual on all fours? Hell yeah!!

Pfft. I must echo 'Titus', however, for the immense homoerotic charge I derived from the massed ranks of dust-covered squaddies and, most of all, the fact that everybody decide, at some point, to wear leather...

I can also admit that I had a pillow on my lap whilst watching Cruel Intentions.

I suspect 'The Hunger' is one of those all-round erotic-whatever-your orientation films. Mmmm...

Oh, you're not alone in love of Labyrinth. When David Bowie lays out an offer like just do what I say and I'll be your slave, you say yes!

shirleydoe and Mazarine: oh yes indeedy.

David Bowie is a bit of a theme... as are soldiers. Why has no-one mentioned Merry Christmas Mr Laurence? (The bit where he eats the flower is rather nice.)

Soldiers, you say? How about "The Night Porter". I'm sure there are plenty of folks that get off on those Nazi jackboots.....

Shiny, Shiny/Shiny boots of leather....

there's just something about a muppets christmas carole that gets my mojo going...maybe its Micheal Caine surrounded by all that squiggly fur....or the frog.
Seriously though as a kid it had to be the blue lagoon. I think that was the first time I saw a movie and thought "hey! nekkid women are neat!"

Crowd follower that I am, I also must concur about The Hunger, and the way that the vampires were used as metaphor for sex and death: Sex trancends death, but at the same time, sex becomes death's vehicle (a remarkable precognition of the AIDS era) as shown by David Bowie's rapid decline.

And boobs. Lots of boobs.

Henry & June: 1930s Paris, literature, film, carnivals, contortionists, bordellos, underground dyke bars, Maria de Medeiros and Uma Thurman making out - what more could a movie need?

As for what I do find erotic- The Lost Boys.

Oooooh, The Lost Boys

/momentary regressing to adolescent years

>>sigh<<

This film played a major, MAJOR role in my early erotic awakenings. My friend and I loved it so much we actually had a "Lost Boys" -themed PARTY, complete with a giant Keifer Sutherland hanging upside-down at the entrance of the soiree.

Though I was more of a Jason Patrick wearing sunglasses and looking tired girl, myself...

Mazarine, I'm getting the feeling you and I need to plan a film-fest of sorts...

Mmmm... it was so HARD to be at that slumber party and have to pretend that I didn't really, really, REALLY want to get to know David Bowie better...

I recommend your choices for the Barbelith sexy movie filmfest..

But "Cruel Intentions" is up there, OH BELIEVE ME.

It is so not about boobs! It is about lovely gayness!

Cherry: I feel validated by your backing-up of Cruel Intentions & Labyrinth - thanks.

<thinks> Now can I get away with mentioning "the Lair of the White Worm"? </thinks>

Oh, let me have my fun, Deva! I mean, you've got a member number that's sacred, while I'm stuck down here at 750!

What's the point? There is no point! It's late and I'm barely awake, yet I keep typing, with visions of Susan Sarandon's breasts being the only things that keep me going.

Speaking of which, let me add Rocky Horror to the list. I'm not even gay, and Tim Curry's sex appeal was still obvious to me!

Only if you make mention of the dream sequence catfight.

Boy, I must be tired! I'm never this big a chauvanist pig in my day-to-day life. Honest.

I love that movie. I particularly liked the bespectacled boy- Angus, was it? Haven't seen that movie in so long, but it was a keeper.

Cherry- I'm always up for a film fest, and I've always been torn between Kiefer and Jason, but I think in the end Kiefer's cool coat wins me over, and for some reason I just dig his voice... wish someone'd chant my name like that.

Hmm... there are a few bits and pieces in soft porn films that I liked... like some busty woman in a white dress getting shagged senseless in the pouring rain...various other things involving masturbation and snooker tables (not at the same time)...and the film version of 'Delta of Venus'...but 'proper' porn bores me. I think I found 'Boxing Helena' quite erotic the first time I saw it.
The bit in 'From Dusk Til Dawn' with Salma Hayek - particularly where she pours whisky down her leg and Quentin Taratino sucks it off her toes... I liked the sex scenes in 'Priest' and 'The Living End'. And 'Bound'. And there we go..
