No, I'm on lanzoprazole which has helped a bit, certainly made my stomach less painful, but my oesophagus still hurts like a bitch, which leads me to think all the acid has inflamed it.
On top of the reflux, I was recently diagnosed with iron-deficiency anaemia, which has got me thinking of ulcers, but also, bizarrely, with something called reactive arthritis, which is essentially an arthritis you get in response to an infection because all the post-infection debris gets in your joint membranes and fucks you up. Frankly, I'm something of a wrhysical pheck at the moment.
I may attempt the all-yoghurt diet, though. I know what caused my reflux attack tonight - I stupidly had a diet coke with tea - so perhaps a more proactive (and indeed probiotic) approach to my digestion would help. |
