Yes, you´ll have to keep on training, if you want to join the council, young pandawan.

And also, you. Do play! Tonight´s topic is movies, that´s always good for at least five correct answers!

I'm so bad at this.

Dazzler, ya cheeky wee devil.

Just you wait.

You and Mistofelees.

Aye!

What's that, Hause? Defeat tastes good? You like it very much?

*evil cackle*

Fucking hell. All because I tried to access it about five hours ago and the page timed out on me.

That'd have been my first win, too. Hell, I could have got the Romance of the Five Kingdoms answers as well, if I'd been paying attention properly.

Not because I've read it, of course, but because I've played Dynasty Warriors.

HCE
23:11 / 15.07.08
Jesus Christ. Stephen King gets more play on this thing than fucking Shakespeare.

HCE
06:13 / 02.08.08
Somebody play?

Mistoffelees
06:47 / 02.08.08
I do (most days). And did just now, thanks for reminding me. But only nine out of ten on easy movie day! By Jove!

Tsuga
08:46 / 02.08.08
Honestly, is there no better version of this online (that's still free)? So often the questions are ridiculous, especially if the topic is books and three out of ten are on Steven King's Dark Tower series. It's really turned me off of this one.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy

*raises fist at the sky* Triplets!

Triplets
17:07 / 02.08.08
KING Triplets!

HCE
14:37 / 06.08.08
STEVEN KING Triplets, more like.

Now the accursed thing is trying to tell me that romance novels are popular 'because they're well-written'! Objection!

Ten correct answers in 36 seconds? What eyebrainhandmouse magic is this?!?

14:56 / 08.09.08
Try to beat my record, people. Just try!

Haha! I am only eight hours away from my first win this month!

Apologies... I seem to have fluked 8 points on my first attempt.

I'm Sorry. I'm so, so Sorry.

Sorry I kicked all your asses.

Thank jebus mathematics doesn't feature heavily. 6 points, and thrown into middle-order obscurity for my initial display of smugness.

Mistoffelees
16:20 / 24.11.08
Time to remind you guys to play again. You all had time enough to catch up on your Dark Tower novels by now.

Eek! A Freek!
17:02 / 24.11.08
Mist: Nyah, Nyah...
Only beat you because I was a tiny bit faster. Missed question 10, my best guess was Wicked...

Mistoffelees
19:09 / 24.11.08
I got lucky anyway. There were pretty much no musical questions today.

HCE
01:22 / 02.12.08
Wow, two games and no questions about Steven King ... how long can such luck last.

Tsuga
08:50 / 02.12.08
Probably about two games.

HCE
14:28 / 02.12.08
Yup.

However, I got a good laugh out of correctly identifying the opening line of the Da Vinci Code. Thank you, Language Log!

Bastard Tweed

What's that? Is this the sound of cheating that I hear?

HCE
14:44 / 10.12.08
How is that cheating? I didn't look it up when I saw the question, I remembered it from the very funny, detailed analysis by, I think, Geoff Pullum.

09:35 / 19.12.08
"What can you do if you object to looking like an elephant each night?"

What kind of question is that?

Mistoffelees
06:41 / 22.12.08
Britsh Barbes, your opinion, please. On the following question I answered "A gerkin / dill pickle", but the correct answer supposedly was "A sweet chutney". Right or wrong?

"You are eating lunch and your British friend asks you if you would like some pickle in your sandwich. What would you get in your sandwich?"

Eek! A Freek!
09:36 / 22.12.08
Sweet Chutney = relish? (In N. America)

museum in time, tiger in space
11:00 / 22.12.08
When we talk about pickle in a sandwich (a cheese sandwich, usually) we actually mean Branston, which is basically a chutney. As seen here:
