Look, she is already on a date with you. If you tell her you have a great time with her, and you had this great idea for the both of you to go to a particular place (somewhere she really wants to go), then you have made yourself number one.

Papess
05:02 / 19.11.07
Sorry Deca, you seem like a really lovely person. I hope you have a great time no matter.

This Sunday
05:05 / 19.11.07
I believe I may just need an anti-maudlin gun to shoot myself with, on occasion. Seeing as really, I haven't that bad of a situation, all 'round. (Also, less gin and more whisky. The effects are surprisingly different and I don't moan on so much under the influences of Jack.)

But many good points, yes.

Well this is a goodnight from me, and through the magic of IM also a goodnight from Lordy aka Chrysis-Euxenia...

G'night DN. Hope things find a way of working out for you.

Saint Keggers
05:08 / 19.11.07
Yes, as Ive often learned Lordy is great with the good points.

This Sunday
05:09 / 19.11.07
I'm remarkably good at being immensely lazy, allowing other people to steer my life, and then complaining about the direction, the detours and the surprise stops. But, in the end, I do enjoy most of the road, to stretch a metaphor too far.

This Sunday
05:09 / 19.11.07
Night, then.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
05:20 / 19.11.07
Wait! Wait! I'm here! I'm here! My molecular vibration rate even seems to be kicking up to something approaching normal speed!

I'm editing a ghost story and ruminating on Superman by the lone lamp. Lost, forever, amid drunken lateshifts that stumble through the fields, collapsing on their sides and wheezing out last breaths. O, the dissipation of lateshifts...

This Sunday
05:46 / 19.11.07
Still around Papers?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
05:54 / 19.11.07
More or less. Getting ready for bed.

This Sunday
05:58 / 19.11.07
I probably should try for bed, but the emotional ups and downs of being me have fueled me up, so I'm reading through other people's writings, to offer commentary and compliments and such. I was all jazzed because somebody's screenplay just seemed to be zipping along and I thought it'd be over and deal with superfast... and then I realized I was on like page twenty of two hundred.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
06:02 / 19.11.07
It's midnight and I have to get up. Draft will still be here tomorrow. Too bad I'll be at work.

This Sunday
06:04 / 19.11.07
It'll wait, surely. Just make sure to make little notes when genius strikes and you're in the middle of something work-related, so it isn't lost.

Princess
20:02 / 19.11.07
I found a new dating site last night, it is still in it's infancy.
But, but, but....

I've been voted one of the hottest people on there already!

I'm a bespectacled adonis.

Princess
20:10 / 19.11.07
Although, the people who got got first, second, third and fourth (I was fifth out of the mentioned 20) are not so hot. So maybe this isn't something to too excited about.

The fact that I'm pulling a face in both of the drunken photo's is probably not a recipe for pullination.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
20:33 / 19.11.07
I have a sore throat and generally feel like I'm about to have an all-out cold (achey! Ahh!), so I'm glad the lateshift is around even when it's not so late 'round here. Here geographically, rather than here digitally.

Good for you, Princess, being so aesthetically pleasing!

Now please bring me broth and blankets to snuggle in.

Princess
20:35 / 19.11.07
Oh.
My.
God.

I've had eleven people contact me in one night. I never knew I could use my facial powers for this!

One of them straight out asked for sex!

I should bottle my face so they could spray it onto trousers, no one would ever be single again!

Saint Keggers
20:55 / 19.11.07
Princess will become the new Axe Body Spray.

Please dont have commercials as annoying.

Princess
21:00 / 19.11.07
Make that SIXTEEN people in 24 hours, and THREE outright offers of casual sex.

I don't remember sacrificing the goat to Astarte, and I can't find the blood or the altar that I'd have left behind. But I've obviously done something in the last 24 hours that has made me MEGAHAWT. I hope this power lasts forever.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
21:14 / 19.11.07
Well, at least you don't have to feel like a nun anymore.

Princess
21:21 / 19.11.07
I can still feel like a nun. It's not till I actually reel one in that I can escape from that.

How's everyone else by the way? I'd hate to dominate the conversation with talk of my AMAZING SUPER SEX POWERS.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
21:37 / 19.11.07
Well, I sort of wish I was doing something more useful than applying new spine labels to old library books, like maybe working on that story draft. But I've only got two hours and twenty minutes longer before I can trundle off to the bus stop and head home to hide in my bed and scribble notes.

Saint Keggers
21:38 / 19.11.07
You must have a great smelling job, Papers.

This Sunday
21:41 / 19.11.07
Try feeling like a sexy nun, perhaps.

I'm in better spirits today, than I was off and on yesterday. New writing, not going to net me any money upfront, but a number of striking typing monkeys are using this to pass stuff around a bit more casually... maybe this'll mean a little extra better-ness to post-strike productions? Anyway, it's helping my script, and helping me feel better about the sale of it falling through.

This Sunday
21:50 / 19.11.07
I have to ask: Smells from the books? From strips of tape and glues?

Saint Keggers
21:51 / 19.11.07
Books! Books, ofcourse.

This Sunday
21:52 / 19.11.07
Okeh. I overanalyzed that, convinced there was something wittily hidden that I was just missing.

Agreed on the book-front.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
21:55 / 19.11.07
Old, mouldering paper. Tapes. Glues. Spine labels & mylar-tape that has, from long ages of shelf-life, disintegrated to a fine powder. Grubby people things left on books.

Saint Keggers
21:59 / 19.11.07
SOunds wonderful. Except for the grubby people things left on books. That sounds...unpleasant.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
22:03 / 19.11.07
I actually quite enjoy spine labels and general book repair, which is my particular project at work. It's very much the neurotic's delight, wasting hours with the glue fumes and a paintbrush in hand, applying adhesive and tourniqueting volumes with elastic bands and wax paper.

Saint Keggers
22:04 / 19.11.07
Yeah, it sounds like a great job.

This Sunday
22:04 / 19.11.07
Hopefully there's at least occasionally something fun or cute left, and not ick-inducing 'grubby people things.' Or the rare clean copy, nobody's tried to turn into an impromptu kleenex.

Princess
22:04 / 19.11.07
Know what I like...
I like bookbinding.

Do you do much of that? What's your favourite form?
Your job sounds ace.

This Sunday
22:08 / 19.11.07
I like re-binding books, repairing or replacing the spines, but doing it the first time feels like it'd be much more work. I just like the feeling of doctoring the book, giving it a little extra lifespan.

Papers, I do hope you're in a fairer state, occupationally, than in the recent past. Or is it still pretty waffly?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
22:09 / 19.11.07
Occasionally, one has to wonder if there aren't people walking around with the ability to open up their skin at will, who just shove books into their internal organs to slosh around for a bit. One will find discarded bookmarks and library cards once in a while.
