Hi Decadent! Ah madness, travels and revelries. Who could ask for anything more?

Well, JerDw, in a strange coincidence I almost changed my name to The Venger Formerly know as an Artist. But I decided against it and then saw your name (it is a recent change, isnt it?)

Im in a nice mellow mood. Currently listening to Lena Park sing Fly Me to the Moon. Very nice voice but I really woudl prefer a more mellow version. Oh well.

I actually almost missed my plane myself. I mixed up the day first but I figured it out the night before. Then the day of my flight I almost missed it as well. They were announcing the last call for my flight and then I ran to my gate. I think someone above wanted me to miss my flight.

I did change it relatively recently, I have been listening quite a bit to Prince recently, that is why I changed it

I lucked out, in that (a) I made the plane, and (b) drinks went on sale price during that flight. Whisky for a dollar ftw.

And some part of me that's used to being poor can't help but thrill at being somewhere I know I can find at least a few options if I needed to crash away from home or something. Being a permanent pedestrian means getting left behind at parties if your ride thinks they're getting somewhere with someone. And, as a pedestrian, nobody cares much if you go off with someone.

I once got on a plane really drunk. For some strange reason got REALLY freaked out when I rolled down the window to throw up.

You will be glad to know I am a happy, poor pedestrian. I have no driver's license of any kind. I live in the city so I really have no reason to have one. I like it because when I am drunk somewhere, I don't have to get in a car to go home. Plus, I love walking, it is good exercise and it is really nice

I'm convinced, as irritating as some passengers can be, I'll eventually have to ask the person sitting next to me if they want to step outside. If they go first, I think I'll have effectively won the fight.

yeah I've been doing the pedestrian thing too and seeing as how I live away from the nightlife area, it usually means nights crashing on couches, 24 hr eateries or on random fire escapes. Ah them were the good ol days.

I had a guy next to me on my flight that kept on talking about planes crashing. As someone that is nervous (not really scared) about flying, this really irritated me. Especially since 95% of the flight was above the Atlantic Ocean

That is my life too. Especially the 24 hour eateries part. I love going to get food in the middle of the night. I lived in New York City for a very long time and there many things were open 24 hours a day. I would often go eat in the middle of the night after a party. Those were the good times.

Yeah, there's nothing like a mess of fried stuff to take the pain out of an evening of very generous bar people.

Jot Evil Rules During Weddings
04:44 / 19.09.07
definitely. I do not know what I would do without ridiculously unhealthy food after a lot of very unhealthy drinking.

Saint Keggers
04:53 / 19.09.07
Yes, you never hear anyone commenting on how marvelously the evening was capped off with a nice salad.

Well I think i shall head off to bed. G'night folks.

Goodnight. Are you still there Decadent or are you drifting off to bed too?

This Sunday
05:26 / 19.09.07
Still vaguely around, though my slightly pirated wireless seems to be dying off.

Jot Evil Rules During Weddings
05:31 / 19.09.07
Hmmm that is funny. I am pirating my wireless too because I cannot figure out how to set up my network. I have called the service people and they have not yet showed up. So until then I am stealing the internet from someone else.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
05:32 / 19.09.07
Just so you know, I wrote a paragraph about chimpanzee testicles while I was working on the current draft of "Hotel Detective" this evening. And then realized I need to research their testicles for the sake of accuracy and fully-developed thoughts on the subject.

Jot Evil Rules During Weddings
05:34 / 19.09.07
Hmmm that is interesting. I recently read an article about Bonobo's, the "hippy chimps" and their sex lives. I guess that is analagous to researching Chimpanzee testicles

This Sunday
05:35 / 19.09.07
My day would have been slightly incomplete without knowing someone was looking up chimp testicles. Actually, I'm kinda wondering how much that gets googled.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy

More than one would want, I imagine.

Jot Evil Rules During Weddings
05:40 / 19.09.07
I am sure there are a lot of hits when you search for it on google as well. I guess I am kind of used to googling really weird and strange things and seeing that there are more hits then you would ever think

This Sunday
05:48 / 19.09.07
I'm still a bit disappointed "edible chaps" doesn't turn up more. Althought "combat chickens" fills me with pride of a kind actual human armed forces probably will never touch.

Jot Evil Rules During Weddings
05:57 / 19.09.07
There is something about an army of animals that is different and more special than an army of humans. It reminds me of a movie, like in A Bug's LIfe, where there is a whole world of animals that humans are missing.

I did a search on "how to stone people" today, because I was curious as to how an actual stoning takes place. Is it organized? Is it just people throwing stones the moment they get them in their hands. I guess it is a bit sadistic and strange in a way

This Sunday
06:06 / 19.09.07
I'd imagine it depends on if it's a legal stoning, or just mob violence. You'd think the 'legal' ones would have regulations and organizational habits.

Unpleasant enough, either way.

Jot Evil Rules During Weddings
06:10 / 19.09.07
That is definitely true. The reason I was researching stoning was because I talked about it today in one of my classes. We were talking about cultural relatvisism and whether we, us Americans could really condemn another country for stoning people, if it was a part of their culture.

This Sunday
06:20 / 19.09.07
I don't really get the 'it's their culture' argument, I'm afraid. I get questioning if it's really better than X or Y or whatever somebody else or we are doing, but the culture excuse always seems a bit suspect.

Jot Evil Rules During Weddings
06:23 / 19.09.07
For me, it is about not necessarily condemning something just becuase I might think it is wrong. I think stoning is wrong, I think that execution as a form of punishment is wrong. But other people believe that capital punishment is right, so I can't just dismiss it right away. On a similar note, I believe that the Electric Chair is just as cruel, if not more cruel, than stoning, and the Electric Chair is used in several states as a form of capital punishment

Where are all the lovely latenight brighteners?

Jot Evil Rules During Weddings

I am here but I am going to bed relatively soon. I have my first day of work tomorrow at 9 am. Today, I slept through my class at 12:45 pm because I stayed up until 5 am. I blame that on the lateshift

We're glad to be of service! What class was it?

Jot Evil Rules During Weddings
03:35 / 20.09.07
It was a class on Religion, Myth and Magic. It is an anthropology class. I was actually sad I missed it, it is very interesting.

Saint Keggers
03:44 / 20.09.07
Sounds like a great class. The closest thing to that I've ever taken was "Religion, Cults and Sects", fun class. I took it shortly after the Branch Davidian/Wacco incident so the discussion were quite lively. And I got to meet Rael.

Jot Evil Rules During Weddings
04:12 / 20.09.07
We talked a little bit about the Waco incident. I really like this class, right now we are talking about shamans and different types of tribal religions. On a similar note, I was walking around today and I passed the Founding Church of Scientology. There was a woman outside giving out free admission tickets and trying to herd people in. I denied the effort to have me enter the buliding

Saint Keggers
04:17 / 20.09.07
Wow. I like the idea of 'free admision' tickets. So.. you'd have to pay to go to a regular sunday service?
Sounds like a Church of the SubGenius scheme to me.

WEll Im calling it a night.
G'night once and future JerDW.
