Well that was splendid and despite feeling shite I had a very good time indeed. Lovely to see the old faces, great to meet the new ‘uns and special thanks to those many folks who were kind enough to buy me beer - I shall remember you next time or failing that just remember you in my will.
Let last night be a lesson to all those who say Barbelith is deaded – we still had a hardcore of usual suspects drinking late into the night in The Pub Formerly Drunk In By Aleister Crowley and we had various new faces! And some folk had travelled for miiiiles to do this – from the South Coast, from Wales, from Scotland and even from China. Well okay, the China bit is a lie, but the rest is true. And then there was even drunken leaving of Invisibles paperbacks in the boozer. I mean, how more like the good old days could it get?! |
