Saint Keggers
04:02 / 13.07.07
But I think it does explain Keiffer. hmmm.

This Sunday
04:04 / 13.07.07
And, yeah, Papers, I finally got a copy of Empowered. Warren's getting awful sappy in his old age, isn't he? It's too bad it's probably too niche for a thread here to get much involvement.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
04:04 / 13.07.07
Ironically, Keifer's brother is currently squidging around past your ear drum, Veng.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
04:05 / 13.07.07
I'd probably post in such a thread, Dec. Though this would require me to reread the text in question.

Saint Keggers
04:08 / 13.07.07
When quite drunk, The Gambler becomes one of the greatest songs ever written. I blame the aliens.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
04:10 / 13.07.07
Oh, defintely. They're using it to put you in the mood.

Saint Keggers
04:15 / 13.07.07
Sigh. For a suposedly 'advanced' race, they dont listen very well. I've told them repeatedly.Im ALWAYS in the mood.

This Sunday
04:15 / 13.07.07
That's why they attack us: we hold them accountable for the bad they've brought, but never take the time to thank them for anything.

On behalf of the human race, let me thank you, aliens, for circus peanuts and the good episodes of the X-Files.

Saint Keggers
04:17 / 13.07.07
But not for Independence Day. That was just shit.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
04:27 / 13.07.07
You know, now that I think about it, Jeff Goldblum *is* the perfect mole.

This Sunday
04:27 / 13.07.07
ID4 (why is that '4' there?) was all humans dressing up like aliens, though. And badly. I mean, you can totally see the zipper down the back of the Jeff Goldblum suit.

Saint Keggers
04:28 / 13.07.07
heheh

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
04:40 / 13.07.07
Damnable Bill Pullman and his hypno-eyes!

This Sunday
04:44 / 13.07.07
I always knew the real meaning of Lost Highway was that Bill Pullman's an alien.

Saint Keggers
04:51 / 13.07.07
I really should make apoint of watching Lost Highway.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
05:02 / 13.07.07
It scared the hooha outta me when I saw it.

This Sunday
05:03 / 13.07.07
There's something that becomes significantly more impactful when drunk.

First time I ever saw it was in a little screening theatre, totally sleep-deprived and generally smashed. Me and two other guys, and we were all out of it enough we tried to answer the phone in the movie in the theatre. Shining moment, yes. But we all walked away feeling confident in our understanding of the film, and nothing's changed that since.

Exept the part about Pullman being an alien. That one just kinda sprung up on me.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
05:16 / 13.07.07
It's interesting when paired with Mulholland Drive, as they're similarly structured and thematically as well.

My roommate at the time watched it with me and we had to walk around the house with the lights on all night, as many lights as possible. It managed to tweak that tiny-tiny bit of us that's still afraid of the dark.

This Sunday
05:19 / 13.07.07
Definitely a disturbing film, but interestingly it seems to be the more subtle stuff that really gets you, as opposed to most creepy flicks, where it's the big scares that are supposed to do the trick. Sound was scary in that thing.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
05:37 / 13.07.07
Ack! Thirty more words and then I'm done working on this story for the night. I don't even know if I want to do anything with it beyond finishing this draft so I can work on my next project.

This Sunday
05:40 / 13.07.07
My advice would be to send it out. Even if nobody picks it up (and they might), I often have a feeling of immutability with pieces that are sitting somewhere with a chance of publication. Otherwise, I'd probably never get around to new work - not so much rewriting as just a billion little touch-ups.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
05:43 / 13.07.07
I'm actually more worried about it languishing forever, untouched, when I get bored. I dunno. This story hasn't turned out as well as I'd have hoped. Something to do with starting it while reading a Gaiman story collection -- I don't think it holds together very well.

Anyway, I'm going to bed now. Sleepytime.

This Sunday
05:45 / 13.07.07
I probably ought to head that way, myself.

Jack Denfeld
07:18 / 13.07.07
ello myn names is jack denfeld and im gint yo the stores to buy some food. is antone still awaken?

Spaniel
07:48 / 13.07.07
Some of us are up and at work. Luverly July morning. All grey, just how it's supposed to be.

Jack Denfeld
07:52 / 13.07.07
earl grey? like picard likes it. morning!

Papess
00:55 / 14.07.07
Good evening. Having survived another Friday the 13th, I am up for ear sex and wineslushy, but I am stuck with tea and eyeball fondling.

Saint Keggers
01:11 / 14.07.07
WHy would I fondle your tea?

Papess
01:27 / 14.07.07
I just have to say: People who message other people on Yahoo!, out of no where, are complete dicktards.

Why fondle my tea? I dunno. I am. It is decaffeinated green tea.

Saint Keggers
01:28 / 14.07.07
Decaffeinated?

They still make that word?

Papess
01:30 / 14.07.07
Yep. It is being recycled.

Saint Keggers
01:34 / 14.07.07
How do they get the caffeine out of the tea leaves without loosing the tea?

Papess
01:41 / 14.07.07
I haven't a clue, Keggers.

Say, are we the only two people with no social life on Barbelith? Hmm, maybe I should speak for myself. You were my social life.

Saint Keggers
01:43 / 14.07.07
You were my social life.
Awww. That's either the sweetest thing I've heard or the saddest. Not sure which.

Im conserving my social life for next week. Yeah, thats it.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
01:47 / 14.07.07
My god, work is dull this evening. Perhaps because the sun has not yet set and the air is warm. Another hour and fifteen minutes to go before I have to track down the Accomplice, who is apparently getting rather sauced with one of our friends and may or may not be on his way home. We shall see.

How's everyone else?
