For lunch today I had a salad of lettuce leaves, cherry tomato, avacado, apple and pear all drizzled in honey and sandwiched in a fucking gorgeous seeded bread bought from a local tearoom. Feta cheese on side.

It was the best lunch in recent memory.

I had a california roll and a tempura roll dipped in soy sauce at a local sushi joint. Emphasis on the "joint," it was very much a joint.

I love Japanese food. I had it less than a week ago.

Unfortunately, something managed to lodge itself in the side of my mouth, and my gag reflex vomited half of it into the toilet before I stuck my hand in past my tounge and yanked it out of there.

That's terrible, laoi; I think I'd be very sad without it. One of the benefits of being a West Coast kid is lots of seafood available, and great sushi joints and Japanese restaurants. There's a really good market as well, nearby, with all the things I need to make it, as well.
