This Sunday
02:36 / 13.04.07
Can't stop thinking of the 'Jetsons' first ep, now, and "Her motor's in the back, where a motor belongs!" Stupid powerful robotmaid memes.

I've had no CD-player, no tapedeck iPod, for several weeks now, and without continual music being pumped into my head, old weird TV quotes are slowly taking over. And then the robotmaid thing comes up here and... I know what my writing tonight's gonna look like.

It coul db eowrsae
(for those of you not drinking, that was "it could be worse")

You could have the theme song from Full House Stuck in your head.

This Sunday
02:51 / 13.04.07
Y'know what could be even worse? If I knew what that theme song was. I am so blessed sometimes, under the right perspective.

You are indeed blessed in a serene blissfull fog of ignorance of all things Full House theme songiang.

The envy starts now.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
04:05 / 13.04.07
I'm awake! I'm awake! I'm awake!

Cookies & Superman. Life is good.

This Sunday
04:36 / 13.04.07
I want the 12th issue of ASSuperman to have Supes offering the reader cookies.

Dammit, Papers, do you realize how much therapy and/or sketching-time I need virtually every time you post?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
04:39 / 13.04.07
What, really? Why?

This Sunday
04:53 / 13.04.07
You seem to have a magic ability to put funny, awkward, and obsession-inducing ideas in my head, just by posting totally inocuously. That's all. Nothing near as harsh as my previous e-mail may've led you to believe.

I'm going to have Superman w/cookies in my head until I embarrass myself with a horrid Frank Quitely impression.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
05:26 / 13.04.07
I take that as a very sincere compliment, Des.

I used to draw, a long-long-long time ago. I think Superman offering cookies and milk would be completely natural, actually. But definitely soy milk, because Superman would care whether or not you were lactose intolerant.

This Sunday
05:30 / 13.04.07
Which I am, and I still didn't think about it.
I just kept thinking about the first ASS cover and the massive overreaction from some areas of fandom. And Batman eating that apple at the Kents' place, in a JLA comic years ago. Christopher Priest, that was, I believe.

Clark was raised up right; you just know he should be offering people a little snack now and then.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
05:34 / 13.04.07
That whole reaction thing was a big old queer fear thing because Superman wasn't, you know, flying or about to punch something. Only Mozzer's Superman is explicitly not about punching things, although occasionally his buttons get pressed (see: firing bioelectric lightning-vision at Bizarro).

I've nearly got a paragraph of story done! Whee. Productive.

Anybody out there?

Hello?

Is it late there?

Is there laughter on the line?

Are you sure you're there alone?

Hello?

I'm around, and I'm not laughing too hard because I've recently found out my best friend, who I love to bits, but rarely see, votes BNP.

I just had a brain problem which caused me to think those were the lyrics to 'Comfortably Numb'.

Welcome, welcome all over again.

... aand, tripping over the rug on his way into the thread, recovering just in time to say: State, that is not nice at all. How did it emerge?

Essential Dazzler
20:45 / 14.04.07
I've always had an inkling, but saw him last night and he had the BNP Paper on his desk, also used the "sinking ship" analogy in conversation.

It sucks that I love the bastard, really. Then this wouldn't bother me.

Is there an election in Wales too? I've just come up home to Scotland, and was completely oblivious to the fact that there's an election soon. So lucky there is a Scottish parliament, seeing as England doesn't seen to have a clue as to what's going on up here.

Essential Dazzler
21:15 / 14.04.07
I have no idea what's going on in Wales, I came back to Nottingham for Uni Holidays and Ballot papers seem to be everywhere.

Of Course, if I was still in Wales I would have no better idea what was going on politically.

Mysterious Transfer Student
21:16 / 14.04.07
That's a shame. If I was in a more insensitive mood I'd start to tell a story about something similar that happened to me, except that this unfortunate case of personal differences took place when I was twelve and the impact has reduced slightly since then.

Right now I'm getting ready for a trip to see Cluster live, delaying going to bed with the best (because most self-evidently pointless) time-wasting activity of the digital age: micromanaging torrent speeds.

gingerbop: Yes, there's elections due here in Wales any day now. The BNP seem to have been seen off for the moment, although there's a hilariously awful UKIP billboard by the roadside not far from my house, enjoining us all to scrap the Welsh Assembly without delay.

Niihama is in Wales!?

Newport! The horrifying singularity to which I am inexplicably drawn!

Seriously, the amount of times I've accidentally driven to Newport is absurd.

But on a positive note, I'm looking up remaining Music Hall Theatres, and I think I might cry. I'm hoping to tour a show in that style of theatre next summer, but most of them seem a little bigger than I'm finding (unfortunately). You don't know of any anywhere, per chance?

Something like Hoxton Hall.

Nggh... just reminded me that I cocking well forgot to go to the comics shop today where, in the unlikely event that the distributors pulled out the digit this week, All Star Superman #7 is probably sitting on a shelf, waiting for me to come in and devour it.

Hell, I'm staying up here and the Scottish elections have crept up on me. Problem is, they're at least a fair chance that the SNP will form some sort of coalition government, which is actually on the way to being kinda scary.

Thankfully tonight I am hiding from the awful truth by overdosing on nostalgic tv.

Currently watching M.A.S.K.

So good.

I was GUTTED on Thursday, my day off.

Totally forgot that Bank Holidays delay comic shipments, first issue of ASS I've resorted to reading a scan of.

Blake Head
22:23 / 14.04.07
Ah, so that was why it was late. It was very very good.

Essential Dazzler
22:25 / 14.04.07
I almost cried on the floor of Page 45, my comic shop.

I wish that was a joke.

Blake Head
22:26 / 14.04.07
Wow.

Brad Turner (Codename: Condor) appears to be a rock star as well as a motorcycle helicopter guy. You wonder where they find the time. Cool mask as well.
