Hungry, eating zombies? Sure.

Are these zombies slaves? - grant

No, there's nothing about them that makes me think of slaves. They seem pretty self-directed, ambling about and eating random dream people (never anyone I know or recognize).
What's strangest to me is that they're never the focus of a dream, they're just around. I've never had a dream where the zombies appeared as a pivotal element. It's always something like "I had a dream where I was back in grade school and John the Baptist taught me to breakdance. Oh, and there were zombies."

... That zombies being more prevalent in pop-culture recently means there are more images of zombies in the environment from which to pull day-residue symbology? - EmberLeo

I have noticed more zombie movies and imagery in the past few years. It's not something I actively seek out but I've definitely been exposed to it.

I had a bunch of Undead dreams a while back. The zombies for me were very much the embodiment of something that A) intends to do me harm B) is too mindless to be reasoned with, and C) is too stubborn to be stopped with token efforts. In other words, trouble it's hard to get out of.

But they were major plot points, not random set extras.

They're just around.

Are they relatives do you think??

my best friend has dreamed of papa legba quite a bit in the past week. i was in one of these dreams...

dream #1: quoting her email: "in a hospital, looking for a bed (to rent?!) and i would have to share a room with this old guy. he seemed sickly and harmless but anytime someone turned their back he would sit up and try to grab me and say "papa legba is after you!"

dream #2: the basic point i got from my friend was that papa legba was talking to me, telling me something i need to pass on to her. but she has no idea what he told me... and frankly it's a little confusing.

so, i'm not at all familiar with papa legba, but since she told me about the second dream, i've been researching like mad. i'd like to ask him what exactly it is i have to tell her. or use some other methods to have a deep look inside and see if there is any information she needs to know that i could provide her with...

what do you guys/gals suggest/think?

Paris Hilton Sex Dream: I was a screenwriter and I had been given some work by a studio in LA. I was put up in the Four Seasons Beverly Hills -- it was a very detailed dream.

As I was moving into my room, I bumped into Paris Hilton who it turned out was my neighbour. To cut a long story short, we ended up in the sack, at which point Paris asked me if I was OK with what was a loveless coupling. I muttered 'Yeah!' and my dream ended.

This is someone else's dream? It would depend on what she's doing, I suppose.

You could try doing something together with some kind of random element - wandering aimlessly around the city, a tarot reading, opening books at random and picking passages - and seeing what comes out. What themes emerge.

boyecho - You may not be you in her dream - you may be symbolic of something else.

For example, one of my best friends, when she appears in my dreams, tends to represent an archetypal Woman-Not-Related-To-Me (as opposed to Mother, Sister, Daughter, etc.)

Since it wasn't your dream of Legba, I don't think you need to take responsibility for the message He's trying to send.

that's kinda what i suggested to her. that it's either symbolic. or maybe i'll just remind her of something without me knowing anything of the message i'm supposed to be sending.

it's all very curious.

as it turns out, she had no idea who papa legba was before these dreams.

so it's still interesting.
