Just come back from watching (and compering for) Owlls- great night. Now I feel I should empty the fridge of booze, especially because I was on rum and coke all night and am now too wired on the caffeine to even imagine sleeping.

Owls? How can they possibly need comperes? Why would you need an introduction for a bit of twit-twooing?

You'd be surprised. And you have to do a reasonably good job of it BECAUSE THEIR HEADS TURN ALL THE WAY ROUND.

If I drink more than a pint when I get home my eyes feel dry. This always feels like I can taste the booze under my eyelids. Strange.

Another weekend - another trip to Booze Island. Except this particular holographic 4-d projection of BI will be located in the Cotswolds hamlet of Sudbury. Cottage and car has been rented, the whiskey shall be a-flowing and the fields shall be trodden and surreptitiously pissed on. Apologies if this is icky, but having grown up being able to piss less than 15 feet away from my home, I do miss being able to just whip out me willy and water the world at leisure. Not the smartest move here in London, though others seem to disagree.

My eyes say "no!" but my lips say "yes!".

Not drinking, not hungover. But in the harsh, warm, lonely light of day it's bright enough to see that, when that girl bought me a drink and started playing with my hair, it might have been a good idea to have gotten her number.

I am Triplets, and I am a cretin.

Blazed a trail of alcoholic glory last night at Booze Island. Four different bars. Very little capacity for memory.

I've come to this most exalted of communities, in hope of finding peaceful, yet thrusting and intelligent debate and I'm immediatley drawn to a thread which invokes the memories of Castle Donnington in 1983 (ish..) which was the first and last time I saw AC/DC.

Anyway. I am drinking.. just a little strong continental beer. This was my first post here. Pathetic eh?

No, gub, it's teh best start to place! AC/DC, continental beer, and Donington are all the reasons you need.

I shall be off drinking tonight with an old friend I haven't seen since November! I will finally be able to give him his christmas presents! I am incredibly badly organised! And I'm not even drunk yet!

I've had a few ales already, to celebrate getting NIN tickets. I seem to remember I passed out last night not long after buying a bunch of booze. This leads me to suspect I may have beer in the fridge. Let's put that to the test, shall we?

YES!!!

There are three beers in the fridge.

Well, there were. There are now two.

I have found a Welsh ale called Double Dragon. I had to, really, didn't I?

I love it when you think you've drunk all the beers in your fridge and you're like, "Dang, I really wanted one today, so I guess I'll go buy some more." And then when you get back from the store, you open the fridge to place the new beers in there and realise you had a couple left over from the last time.

Hmm.

Either that's a great thing or my memory is shot full of holes because of booze.

I've only got one booze in the fridge now. I'm getting edgy.

Ah well. Sheena needs a walk anyway.

Are there places where you can take Sheena and have a drink, Stoats?

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

She's not so well-behaved in pubs. Sometimes it works, sometimes not (it generally depends on how much attention she's getting. Last week my friend's two-year-old kid was fascinated by her, so she was totally cool). The best option's usually to take her for a walk and hit the off-licence on the way home.

Fair enough. But I do know a lot of dogs who are well-behaved in pubs. Served fresh water in actual bowls, gushings and pettings from the waitstaff.

If I had a doggles, I would be at the Brewhouse on the patio today as it is 70 degrees, sunny, slightly breezy, and utterly gorgeous. I would sit with my doggles on the patio and people-watch, making fun of hipsters.

Maybe I should go do this anyway.

DO IT.

I'm looking forward to the summer, when Sheena and I can go and sit outside pubs, man and dog united in a joyous celebration of the wonder that is BOOZE.

Kali, Queen of Kitteh
16:31 / 28.02.07
You tempter.

I've often longed for a place that would allow you to rent doggles in order to a) meet members of the opposite sex whilst walking them in the park (I've found that nothing encourages flirting more than two strangers, one or the other or both with dogs) and b) sitting at an outside patio at a pub with a dog and getting free beers because your dog is lovable and cute.

Dammit, I think I will go have a beer on the Brewhouse patio.

You're absolutely right. Nothing attracts the eligibles like a puppy.

I'm just glad that now Sheena's no longer a puppy she's still intensely cute.

Doggles is such a good word. I have a doggles but he will not go anywhere at the moment because he has a bone and bones mean sitting on the sheepskin rug getting bonegoo everywhere.

However, I also have a bottle of wine, so I think I shall open it and watch the bonegoo spread whilst contemplating why no-one has helped me with my equal opportunities question in the Q and A thread. Why? Why have you not helped me?

Sorry, Olulabelle, but you have to admit talking about doggleses and boozez is just, well, MORE FUN.

There used to be a doggles in my life and then when I broke up with Fuckface, there was no doggles anymore. I miss that doggles. She was ace.

The time is drawing nigh for delicious booze and sunny patio-ness and looking at people with doggles.
