I'm finally back. Congratulations Boboss and family... I was buzzing for days afterward too.
After all my agonizing about performing in front of a crowd - I felt like throwing up for two days beforehand - from the moment I walked into the ceremony I felt like I was flying. It was amazing to see how many people came to celebrate with us and it was just crazy insane bliss all day. Mr. Ibis and I had the best time of our lives and a lot of guests claimed to enjoy it as well. (Only one thing went wrong and that was the one thing I was sure would go fine - my brother messed up the music rather badly. Oh well.)
As for our ceremony, Mr. I's brother was our officiant. Although he's a Christian pastor, we talked beforehand with him about our preferences & comfort levels. He knows we're not religious and didn't want religion per se in the ceremony, but we told him that, as our brother, if he wanted to say something heartfelt that referenced God or scripture we trusted him to do it right, and he did that. I feel really lucky to have had him do the ceremony. |
