I'm going to splurge on a big bottle of Mount Gay, a bunch of fresh mint, limes and brown sugarcubes. It's mojito time, baby.

My girlfriend has invited a couple of her friends up to stay this weekend, so my late night Gamecube/ESPN marathons will be curtailed, as my couch is also our foldout guest bed. I suspect there will be lateshifting, and I may finally finish Icewind Dale on my PC. Oh, and I need to go buy a new car stereo because mine is shitting it. My car stereo keeps me sane.

So I have a full agenda. But the mojitos are the most important.

I think that after my overnights are all behind me, I am going to spend a day watching movie, drinking dark beer and ignoring my phone.orkplace

But at least tonight it's not 90 degrees in the workplace, and I remembered to bring in some decent DVDs and comics to read.

Awake, in need of a drink, and home from seeing Superman. 'S good, mostly. I would have cast Parker Posey as Lois, though.

I just landed home - my lovely wife's gone to work, my two ickle lambikin kiddies are at nursery and child minder respectively, so now's my cue for (hard-earned) beers and games.

Nice.

How'd you make a mojito (sp?), by the way?

I didn't mind WHAT they cast Parker Posey as, as long as they cast her.

Then again, Lois didn't look old enough to drive, let alone have a college degree, a 7 year career and a five year old kid. It's becoming a pet peeve of mine that they cast women who look 14 in movies as adult career women.

Y'know S.R. I cant stand Parker Posey. I LOATHE her.

So anyone around?

The heat is horrid (ok, its not the heat, its the hummidity) and its turning my mind to mush.

I'm around. How're you, Keggers?

One sec, there's a SERIOUS QUESTION that needs to be answered...

How'd you make a mojito (sp?), by the way?

You need a rocks glass, first of all. Then you need a handful of fresh mint, a brown sugarcube and a splash of fresh lime juice. Put these in the glass and mash the fuck out of them with (ideally) a bartender's pestle or (in a pinch) some sort of blunt wooden implement. When they're nicely smashed, pour in a cocktail's worth of good rum (I like Mount Gay Eclipse, personally), add ice and then fill the rest of the way with more fresh lime juice. Shake the shit out of it and drink.

I just improved someone's life.

Yes, but it wasn't MY LIFE, so how doees it even matter?

How are ya this evening?

Quite tipsy, as promised. Mojitos and beer. Morrissey on the stereo. Sleeping people in my living room cutting off all console gaming/sports access.

Overall, I'm quite well. Are you doing anything productive? Any new triumphs in winemaking to share?

Saint Keggers
04:10 / 15.07.06
I too am quite tipsy, I was just about to tell Monk that I was just over the innundation by World Cup and that it was too early for All Star Game, then I saw that it was from the first page of this thread. Whoops.

No new triumps in the wine making, although I did buy a kit of apple flavoured wine. I didnt know they sold kits in anything other that pure grape wine.

Besides that as for productive.. I've been doing a few more tattoo pictures (tatttoos photoshoped onto photos rather than photos of tattoos)

And there also: For the montrealers

I hope my linkage and such works.

Any pics of the tattoos?

Saint Keggers
04:26 / 15.07.06
Not really. The person who's pics I did the tattoos on doesnt want them public (I think, I shall ask her tomorrow)

It seems to be late, the birds are starting to sing outside, who’s about?
PS. I’m not Faust but made a cock up when changing my display name.

Yeah, I'm here, but intermittently as I'm supposed to be working.

I'm kicking around a little as it's early in philly and weighing in on something else on the board. I'll be heading to the spot around the corner to drink a few and hear some music in a bit.

How's everyone else doing... been a while since I felt shifty.

Ever the stalwart of the lateshift Stoatie, if you don’t mind my saying. Working is always best when on a bit of a skive. For me, trying to as little work as possible when supposed to be working makes the whole process more enjoyable.

Yeah, but I don't get to go home until I've finished...

DAMN, it's hard to get motivated sometimes.

As your day begins banshee, mine comes to a close, with the last of the beer making its way to me stomach, I’ve been a stranger to the shift of late as well.

Yeah, job and finish can suck a bit Stoatie, how does it pan out?

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
02:44 / 16.07.06
Oh, it's usually okay, it's just on weekends that it sucks. I can't complain, really, cos we get to leave early if we finish early, and we've been finishing at least an hour early every weekday for the last couple of months now.

Hey man. How's it going?

What are you doing up at this ungodly hour?

Strange Machine Vs The Virus with Shoes

I think work is one of the things we have an inalienable right to complain about, saying that I should probably get to bed if I am to be fit for work tomorrow. Night all.

Night. Morning, Ill... how was The Sea?

I seem to be needing less and less sleep these days. Went out for drinks and curry and just woke up and can't get back to sleep. Will do so in a bit I think. What a bout you.

I don't go to the Sea, Stoat. Did any of the Stokey posse make it?

I felt a bit knackered and am saving money for holiday so I thought I'd give it a miss. 10 days to Barcelona!

I've been drinking tea and playing games.

My sleep pattern is so totally fucked. For no particular reason, I find it very difficult to sleep at any time before four.

03:08 / 16.07.06
Iamus, thats pretty fucked. Are you a student or do you work?

iamus
03:12 / 16.07.06
I work. Mainly evenings. Nothing that doesn't stop at around 10.

I need to get a handle on it. I love mornings, but right now I'm seeing them at the arse end of conciousness, and that's no good at all.

Doesn't seem to matter how tired I am during the day.... as soon as it hits 9/10 I'm wide fucking awake.

03:16 / 16.07.06
That sucks mate. I've been quite good with slepping until recently. I just seem to need less and less, I've been getting up at six, and 'cos I had a mjor lie in yesterday, I wake up at this time. Might go back in a sec though.

iamus
03:20 / 16.07.06
Ach. It's good for drawing and writing time I suppose.
Helps me plow through the games I have a backlog of too.

It's got its uses anyhow.

Righty ho. Think I'm going to make an effort to sleep a bit here.

Catch you later, sir. You too, Stoats.

Between working a nightshift and the puppy, my sleeping pattern is absolutely fucked.

Evenin-Mornin' to ya. How is everyone?

I'm wishing I had a mint plant Jakegnosis!

But then I've been spending quality time with another plant so I'm all good...and lot's and lot's of Indian food from a hafla party I just got home from.

Beautiful women dancing, spicy food, thunder storms.
Then more dancing with beautiful women! One of my classmates talked me into getting up with her. It is very very very hard to belly dance in carhartt shorts. The stiff canvas does not make the wiggling easy, no Sir.

Had the opportunity to sit down and have a glass or two, so things are definitely a bit better. But, alas, it's getting a bit late and sleep sounds like the appropriate medicine.

Take care ya'll... see you on the flip side.
