Is the lateshift dead these days?

Where are all my cocktail lovin' pals?

Slim
04:46 / 05.07.06
I had some mighty good microbrews Saturday night. I couldn't tell you what they were because I had some mighty good microbrews Saturday night.

I have been known to write down beers and wines I really like as I'm drinking them, because I'd never remember what they were otherwise.

It's a technique that's served me well.

Slim
05:14 / 05.07.06
That sounds like effort and effort is inversely related to fun in these situations.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
05:19 / 05.07.06
That may be so, but I'd have never become addicted to Dogfish Head Raison D'Etre beer or Byington Alliage Cabernet without it. It takes no more effort than writing down a pretty girl or boy's (possibly fake) phone number, and you're much more likely to get enjoyment out of it.

Hello,

New thread. eh?

I like what you've done to the place.

01:19 / 06.07.06
Hey Kegs. What's up?

Saint Keggers
01:22 / 06.07.06
Alas!
Not much, just chilling out with a glass of wine, barbelith and doing some artwork.

You?

alas
01:23 / 06.07.06
I just got back from walking the dogs and am thinking about doing some work but also thinking of things I'd rather do than work...so here I am.

Saint Keggers
01:26 / 06.07.06
What kind of work?

alas
01:33 / 06.07.06
Research stuff. Not really what I want to do at this time of night. I might just watch a movie. I'm trying to learn french so I checked out "Monsieur Ibrahim," with Omar Sharif.

Saint Keggers
01:39 / 06.07.06
Hmmm... trying to think of french movies that I've seen and the only one that comes to mind is the classic:

Great kids movie that most Quebec kids were forced to watched at some point in school.

alas
01:46 / 06.07.06
That looks pretty funny. Vive le tuque!

I think I may run off in a bit, for awhile. Where are all the other lateshifters, eh?

Saint Keggers
01:48 / 06.07.06
I dont know. Maybe they're being taken out one by one. Victims of an elite goverment hitsquad. Or maybe they're just doing other things. Its a wacky world out there, anything is possible.

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
05:08 / 06.07.06
Arrrrrrrr!

Jake, Colossus of Clout
05:11 / 06.07.06
Hello!

I'm meandering in here with a beer. Just finished gloating about how much ass my fantasy baseball team is kicking this week. Had a nice slow day at work after several days of madness.

How's things with you?

Jake, Colossus of Clout
05:37 / 06.07.06
Oh, hell.

I missed the party, didn't I?

Saint Keggers
01:45 / 07.07.06
No, never! The party is now!

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
02:23 / 07.07.06
Ah. Writing me some decadent spy fetish.

Cloned Christ on a HoverDonkey
02:30 / 07.07.06
It's 4:27am. I woke up for work 12 minutes ago. That's just obscene.

Worst thing is I'm working a 7 day week this week, although tomorrow is my last, but it is a 12 hour shift tomorrow.

And from what I gather it's going to be raining on Sunday (the one day off I get this week), which means I may have to cancel the BBQ we've had arranged for three weeks.

Other than that, there's a spring in my step, like.

02:39 / 07.07.06
Papers: Decadent? Elizabethan spies, Lord Byron and all that?

Cloned X On a HoverDonkey: Whenever a lither menations upcoming weather I check where they are just to see if its weather I have to concern myself with. It isnt. SO, I'll just ask, Why? Why is there a spring in your step?

Cloned Christ on a HoverDonkey
02:57 / 07.07.06
All of my previous post was true, except the bit about the spring in my step. Subtle irony.

Saint Keggers
03:01 / 07.07.06
But I wanted to hear about the spring in your step and now.. ITS ALL A LIE!!

My world is in tatters!

Cloned Christ on a HoverDonkey
03:07 / 07.07.06
Geez!

It's all gone horribly wrong! How can you ever forgive me?

Gotta shoot, though - work beckons.

Have a nice day, all!

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
03:50 / 07.07.06
Nah, sort of neo-Victorian future ultra-sexed faux-London. They are extremely decadent, however.

Saint Keggers
04:06 / 07.07.06
Sounds great. There just isnt enough of that in the world right now. Will there be a decandent Bond-type villain?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
04:50 / 07.07.06
Yes. The Bolshevik, he shall be called.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
04:57 / 07.07.06
Am I late for the party again?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
04:57 / 07.07.06
And also Alexandra Heatherington-Damocles, until recently big-game hunting in Kenya before she discovers a *more substantial prey*.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
00:33 / 12.07.06
So...

Anyone else awake? I've got the baseball All-Star Game on, and I'm drinking massive quantities of beer.

How's things with you jokers?

Saint Keggers
01:39 / 12.07.06
I've been worse, been better too.

How's tings with you?

Hallo, Paper Spaceboy
01:42 / 12.07.06
Contemplating the recent introduction of hardcore pornography (versus the typical softcore) as a marketing / advertizing tool from sexpacking (Obviously not work safe). I don't particularly like the clothes as such, but the soundtracks and editing are compelling.

Also in the middle of reading "All the Mowgli Stories," a collection of the Kipling. Afterward, for contrast, I'll read some Isak Dinesen.

And waiting for the accomplice to get out of the shower so we can go pick up some dinner.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
01:56 / 12.07.06
Gentlemen... Welcome.

I'm well, thanks. First day off from work in I dunno how long. At least I love my job. Mojitos and wine after hours and all that. I spent all day fucking with my computer to try to see why it hates me and boots me off the internet all the time, but no dice.

Anyone out there a tech head?

Jake, Colossus of Clout
02:40 / 12.07.06
Gosh! The All-Star Game was fucking great! How about Michael Young!?

I realize that I'm talking to no one at this point, but my SO would be really pissed if I shook her awake right now and hollered "THE ALL-STAR GAME RULED!!!" That would be bad Jake.

The last time the AS Game was this sweet a competition was when Selig wilted and called the 2002 game a tie. And, since that game was weaseled into a tie, this one wins! Great baseball!

Hey! I'm here. I just didn't think anyone else was. I was over yonder scraping some gum outta the carpet, trying to tidy up a little.

All...Star...Game?
