Jake, Colossus of Clout
01:42 / 26.05.06
Yeah! More drunkards!

.trampetunia- I just knew. Don't question the intuitions of a souse.

Very happy. Sox won. Overhauled my PC and it runs like buttah. Listening to the Wu. An excellent evening so far.

petunia
01:52 / 26.05.06

Jake, Colossus of Clout
01:55 / 26.05.06
START DRINKING, FOR THE LOVE OF JESUS!

Err... I mean...

Can I sing a song about the French and English in American-style English?

That's it.

petunia
01:59 / 26.05.06
"oh the french,
yes the french!
sit all day
on a bench!

playing pétanque,
drinking some plonk
all day in the square till you're quenched!"

Impressed?

petunia
02:02 / 26.05.06
Okay.

I just opened a beer.

Though it is 4am here.

Oh well.

Hullo? Oh, sorry, I've just wanderedin drunk..
wait- you're drunk too!
I'm opening another beer for you guys
I've never lateshifted before
I feel dirty

Jake, Colossus of Clout
02:10 / 26.05.06
YES! BEER IS OPEN!

I'm afraid I can't compose a song for you... I was "taking the piss" as y'all seem to say.

I love that expression, but I'd feel like such a poser if I actually said it. I use "wanker," though. That's too good to pass up. So much better than "jackoff."

petunia
02:10 / 26.05.06
WASH

petunia
02:13 / 26.05.06
Yeah.
I like those expressions too.

I also like to sneak the occasional daydream about what it must be like to have never heard them before.

"why would he want to take someone's piss from them..."

It just doesn't make any sense if you try to read it literally. And that is why i love our language.

petunia
02:15 / 26.05.06
and i'm not really sure that counted as taking the piss anyway.

Like unless you were mocking us a bit.

You were more just joking.

Or lying

WERE YOU LYING TO US?!

petunia
02:16 / 26.05.06
Sorry. i think this beer has a lot of sugar in it or something.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
02:17 / 26.05.06
I'm sure we have the same sort of weird-ass expressions over here. Like "weird-ass," for example. Or "punk-ass", "bitch-ass", "chump-ass." We have an obsession with "-ass" as a suffix to an insult over here. And none of them make a whole heck of a lot of sense.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
02:20 / 26.05.06
I thought "taking the piss" covered all of those bases?

Do you even know hat "covering the bases" means? DO YOU?

Quantum
02:20 / 26.05.06
whut?
I was lying down for a while reading the quotes from Red Dawn
"Re-education Film Narrator: [at what once was the Calumet, Colorado Drive-in Theater] America is a whorehouse... where the revolutionary ideals of your forefathers... are corrupted and sold in alleys by vendors of capitalism... "

and drinking kroney

I like that expression 'sold in alleys by vendors of capitalism' I'm going to us eit in conversation

petunia
02:21 / 26.05.06
very true. No sense made.

but still very good fun.-ass

Toni: [her dying words, to Jed] Go on ahead. I'm just gonna stay here and listen to the wind a while, okay?
[He gives her a grenade, pulls the pin for her and kisses her goodbye; she then rigs herself as a boobytrap]

so romantic!

Do you even know hat "covering the bases" means? DO YOU?

All your base are belong to us.

And yeah. I know. Sure i know. It's to do with those sox things. sox on bases.

And when all your bases are covered, you wanna get a home run.

Cos that means 'having sex'.

See. we've been studying your kind!

Red Dawn? As in the mid-eighties anti-communism teen-action movie featuring Patrick Swayze and Powers Booth?

CLASSIC.

from a Red Dawn review- "The scene I remember most vividly is the one when Patrick Swazye shoots the young Russian political officer in the Chevy Blazer. The audience consisted mostly of guys from nearby Fort Collins and Peterson AFB, and they gave this scene a standing ovation."

hello keggers!

Jake, Colossus of Clout
02:32 / 26.05.06
It's fantastic. Russian paratroopers drop into the middle of Colorado(!), and only Patrick Swayze and his band of misfits can stop them! Powers Booth parachutes in to tell them what's what, before being killed by those stinkin' Reds.

It's Period Pop Culture Heaven!

In our time, no foreign army has ever occupied American soil. Until now.

The invading armies planned for everything - except for eight kids called "The Wolverines."
