Frankly I have no problem if everyone from the previous one wants another go round. First come, first served. You snooze, you lose. No shirt, no shoes... Sorry, just warming up into some cliched US colloquialisms.

I'd be happy to participate in this one.

In which case, count me in. I loves me some horror.

And I vote Tez goes in even if it's monumentally oversubscribed. He's earned it.

As a former member of the Worst Mafia Ever I'd be interested in playing this again.

I thought for sure one of the detectives had me pegged in the last round and had told everybody else about it, given the speed with which everyone picked up on nominating me. And I was quite proud of myself, having avoided any votes up to that point... The whole game was pretty bizarre- Jake getting lynched in the first round screwed us, but I was continually misreading how people would react to things ('There's no possible way they'll lynch Von Mises now!' 'If we kill Rising and Revolving we should be able to get Feverfew lynched!'). Still. Lots of fun, I just wish it had lasted longer. Big ups to Tez for running it.

I had fun and would love to play the next one, but unfortunately I will be in Kenya from the 24th of June for two weeks and I'm not sure if I'll have any internet access. So I'll just have to read the thread when I'll come back!

I'm in for more, for sure.

I was hoping that being an obvious target would get me doc protection. Ooops.

Next time, laying low seems a much more prudent option...

That worked for me up until the point when I got voted out unanimously. 'Course, I was actually mafia but still.

Did the detectives know Fiver was Mafia? Or was it just a lucky guess?

...count me in for the next one, definitely....

I don't think so, no. I know Dalliance didn't and I think that JDOG mentioned earlier who he asked about, and it wasn't me. The reason JDOG gave in-thread was that I had such a low profile so I think it was just bad luck on my part. I'm not sure why everyone jumped on it so quickly though.

By the 4th day Fiver and Stoatface were the only ones who hadn't been given a decent character reference by a 'tec or hadn't voted for the mafia at least twice. I think I went for Fiver because his vote for Stoats on day 3 seemed like an attempt to take the heat off Johnny Biz by putting another citizen in the running.
A few people knew I was a detective and I'm guessing most had Dalliance figured for one by then so, when we voted for Fiver early on, I think anyone who wasn't sure just followed the lead until it was a done deal.

Rupert seemed so sure of himself that I assumed he had inside information. Also, I was still not 100% convinced maneki wasn't mafia, and we had a few PMs go back and forth, so as a scared citizen I tried to publicly make someone else the mafia target by suggesting I knew more about Rupert then I actually did.

Why would I have been the next person you protected doc?

Tez, a great game, and I am totally in for the next round.

Current players:
Stoatie

This may end up as a smaller game. Great people so far, but should I plug it in The Conversation for some new blood?

I see. By leaving me off the list, you're signalling that I'm a suspect, yes?

Ah! So now you single me out!

I wasn't even NEAR the bucket at the time. And I was voting for Stoat, and Von Mises made me do it, and anyway it's not like Maneki didn't have me hepped up on the goofballs and and ...

...

Shhh.

Don't let them see they're getting to me ...

Yeah, I think a plug would be a good idea. I'd really like to play but if demand exceeds capacity then I don't mind doing the honourable thing and sitting this one out. Seems only fair to let other people in on the fun. Also getting more people involved may increase the likelihood of regular games in the future. Joy!

I'd like to play but I'm feeling a bit worried that I may suck and ruin it for the experienced players. But then I suppose I'd just get bumped off early in the game?

(the convo pager brought me here)

Oh, heck, go on then. I have to say I feel a little queasy at the who lynching aspect (can't we just put them in a boat, with a map to Grimsby?), but I relish the chance to hone my not-a-freaking-clue skills.

I'm so glad to see you taking responsibility! I only provided a service - which seemed quite popular with most citizens. (And Maneki herself.)

I think I liked the role playing most, and it would be great if we could do this on a regular basis. I am a bit sad that I'll be missing the next one.

OK, we've got 14. If I get a fifteenth by Monday, that'd be great, but I'm prepared to move forward with this number.
In this game there's going to be:
3 Mafia,
Just 1 Detective
and 1 Stabproof
I'm keeping it lean and mean. I was tempted to fill the game with fancy archetypes but this is all about the swooping, stomach clenching dread. Like most activities involving me.

I'll 'ave a go, if'n that last space is still vacant, and no-one nicer wants it.

12:11 / 15.06.06
You're very welcome. OK, that's everyone. I'm still going to wait until Monday, though, I have some things I need to 'take care of' over the weekend.
I should add that in the new game I'm changing the terminology to fit the setting. Instead of Mafia we'll have Killers, I'm the Manager instead of the Mayor, and as noted before one person is Stabproof, not Bulletproof, as all the murders will be committed with shiny shiny sharp objects. If everyone could try to cultivate an air of sweaty semi-hysteria punctuated by the occasional clunky pop-culture reference, that'd be gravy.

Sounds like fun. Since it's an 80s slasher flick, should I assume that we're all teenagers?

if we're teenagers in a slasher flick then HUMPING=DEATH?

EEEE! EEEE! EEEE!
