Some Doctor Who shifty? I'm game - Dr Who night tomorrow on BBC3 and then next saturday the first episode of season 2....

Suedey! SHOT FOR MEAT!

Yes! If you couldn't tell, I'm feeling somewhat excited about the whole affair. I hope this doesn't end up backfiring.

Seeing as I don't have BBC3, I shall just have to make do with rewatching the last few episodes...

Ah, you are missing out then suedey - last week BBC 4 did a 1973 themed week to promote... erm repeats of Life on Mars - but they still managed to slip some Dr Who into the schedule in the guise of a Dr Who story from 1973...

Only a week!

Only a weeeeeeek!!!

However, I have to read newspapers tonight, and am bound to be confronted by bastard spoilers at every turn.

Apparently they are going to show one of the Dr Who films from the 60s on BBC 2 again this week...

Do you have broadband?

Doctor Who? Love it. TV? Mostly not into it. Doctor who though? Love it.

No TV. How likely is it that the folks'll record it every saturday?

sleazenation
22:06 / 08.04.06
Record it? this is the fabled 'appointment television' - people arrange to meet up an hour later on a saturday evening so they can watch Dr Who first... unless of course they have cable/satellite and are going to catch the repeat at around midnight on bbc3...

Suedey! SHOT FOR MEAT!
22:07 / 08.04.06
oh! I think they're showing DR WHOOOO AND THE DALEKS aren't they? I think I saw it in the Radio Times, and I was mainly impressed with the excellent poster that accomapanied the film.

Suedey! SHOT FOR MEAT!
22:08 / 08.04.06
And yeah, if you don't have a TV, I imagine this will be easy to find online.

Were you asking if I have broadband, sleaze? Because if you were, I do.

sleazenation
22:08 / 08.04.06
Yep Dr Whooooooooooo and the Daleks with Petet Cushing as the Doctor and Roy Castle as one of his companions in garish full colour!

sleazenation
22:12 / 08.04.06
Yeah sueady I was asking you, cause there are going to be a fair few extras available to view online - stuff like the episode, by episode documentary Dr Who Confidential broadcast on BBC 3 straight after each episode are also available online, and then there are the Tardisodes and trailers and whatnot...

Suedey! SHOT FOR MEAT!
22:13 / 08.04.06
Ah, excellent! I didn't know that stuff would be around online. Felt like I was missing out last time.

You could even play the interactive episode, attack of the grask, on the Doctor who website, I'm not sure if it is still there at the moment tho...

Suedey! SHOT FOR MEAT!
22:20 / 08.04.06
It appears to be! Although it's asking me to download Flashplayer 8, which is somewhat beyond my comprehension at present.

So is Torchwood still planned to start just as the DW season finishes then? Cos that'll see us most of the way through the year if so...

Suedey! SHOT FOR MEAT!
22:24 / 08.04.06
I like the way you plan ahead, Stoatie.

sleazenation
22:25 / 08.04.06
Nah - i think Torchwood is set to begin in October...

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
22:26 / 08.04.06
ooh... that means it'll probably last up until about Christmas.

(I still haven't got that bastarding Season 1 box set yet... stupid fucking supermarket grumble grumble bastards).

22:28 / 08.04.06
Oh and they are re-showing season one on BBC3 this week too... - I am just turning into a freeview/cable and satellite pimp...

Suedey! SHOT FOR MEAT!
22:32 / 08.04.06
I was saddened to see my season 1 box had got all bent on one side. The door bends all outwards.

I just can't handle these things!

sleazenation
22:43 / 08.04.06
I was annoyed that my boxed sex was sh shoddily made - the door is held on with some gluefrom a hot glue gun, and held on not at all well...

Same here. I've had to go into the Dread Pear Swill '05. Kicks like a mule, tastes like moldy cardboard that was first fed through said mule.

Hi Stoatie, how's things?

I think there might be some dessert wine around...

But seriously, this wine I just had was so lovely. I could drink it like water... not that that's a good thing... like beautiful, beautiful water.

I appreciate water and everything, but let's be real, it's not wine is it? No, no it is not.

The water was not fit to drink. To make it palatable,
we had to add whiskey. By diligent effort, I learned to like it.
