I apologize.
When I said "A tomboy is still a girl, etc." I was responding to "But in that case, why make her a tomboy?" which I believed was a response to my concern that the replacement of Christopher Robin with a girl may serve only to reinforce masculine stereotypes. Alas, Deva was able to articulate that point a lot better than I was.
As for whether the characteristics have been changed...well, the new character has the appearance of being irritatingly "spunky", but I have yet to see her in action, so I could be wrong. |
