Dragon Rolls are da bomb. They're delicious and generally quite expensive. But they're worth every penny if made right. When I get to Van, I'm going to stuff my face on sushi. My cousin had some sort of lobster roll while down there, and he said it was the very best sushi roll he ever had.
Solitaire, take your eggplant and make a sandwich. Seriously, it's good in sandwhiches too. Cut it into 1 inch slices, salt them, let them sit and sweat out their bitter juices, blot, and pan fry in olive oil until golden and done. Place the slices into a fresh roll/baguette, top with mozarella cheese slices or brie, garnish with tomatoes and/or slices of roasted red peppers (available in most upscale delis), drizzle with pesto, and salt and pepper to taste. Alternatively, you can make vegetarian lasagna, and put in slices of eggplant in that. |
