Which street has the most murders in Canada, Keg?

Saint Keggers

I cant recall the street name, but it was near the meeting point of Gastown and Chinatown. Its only later on in retrospective that you realize there were just some places you shouldn't have been walking around that late at night.

Must visit Canada. BBC Radio 3 mixing it on friday night had a great piece about Montreal and interviews with Godspeed.

So what's Vancouver about apart from all the murders?
Know any good ghost stories?

hello. :-) It's not really late here yet, but I figure I'll hang out in here when there are actually people here tonight, because once it gets late you guys are off doing whatever it is you do at noon.

I wonder what streetcorner in the US has the most murders. I bet there are more murders there than at the street corner in Canada. Eh. I mean, I figure if someone's going to murder me, it's going to be because they know me and they're really pissed off at me. Street corners never seem particularly dangerous to me.

Inchoate, Vancouver has fantastic food. If you love Asian food (Chinese, Japanese, seafood...etc) then Vancouver is your town. Due to the large population of Asians, there's a plethora of asian eateries all over the city. Also, due to Vancouver's location and it's easy access to fresh seafood, the sushi is rated as the best in Canada (also the most affordable too).

However, Vancouver also has a high crime rate. My cousin was in Van two years ago, and he said that Chinatown is adjacent to the worst neighborhood in Vancouver and possibly all of Canada. Curious, he deliberately walked into it, thinking that he would be safe in broad daylight and with his two companions (his best friend and his girlfriend). Three blocks in, he realised that he had made a teribble mistake. The streets were deserted, the few cars there were - cops cars even - were zooming by at high speed, afraid of stopping for fear of being carjacked/attacked. Every person in the neighborhood was either a pimp, a prostitute, and/or a drug dealer or addict. My cousin quickly hightailed it back into Chinatown. He said if it was that bad during the day, he wondered how much worse it was at night.

oh, speaking of sushi....I looked up avocados today, because I wanted to see how much fat is in them (why do I care?) and I got to a website, which I can't find and link to for some reason (I could, but ya know if it's going to take a while...dude, it's an avocado website). Anyway, so the website I found said that most of the world's avocados are grown in California, and that Californians eat them in stuff like ice cream and sushi. Well, the ice cream thing is a lie. I mean, maybe people do that in southern california, but we don't do that where I live. I've never seen avocado ice cream. But it's quite common to have avocado in sushi. Do you guys who live elsewhere have avocado in sushi? I thought it was sort of standard. I mean, there's plenty of sushi that doesn't have avocado in it, but there's also plenty that does.

Hey, fuckbaked and liger. And inchoate and Keggers, and anyone else I haven't said hello to yet.

Should we be thinking about a new thread soon?

...we don't want YOU KNOW WHO to get angry, do we?

Never had avacado icecream, but sushi with avacado, yes, and of course guacamole! Food of the gods, lurvely guacamole!

I can honestly say I've never really thought about where the most murders in Canada take place. That old stereotype of kindly, polite, single-payer medical care Canada makes the thought a little absurd. Still, being carjacked is being carjacked and must suck even if the car jacker says "eh" after each threat.

I've had avacado on sushi before and it was pretty good. Here the have these things called dragon rolls that hare covered in thick slices of avacado. They look yummy but I have developed what I call "permanent sushi burnout" from when I ate sushi every day for a whole week and now I can't stomach it anymore.

I thought dragon rolls were the ones with the big slab of eel laid over the top.

I love avocados. I make a kickin' guacamole too. Fuck Baked, avocado is found in many types of sushi rolls, either on it's own - i.e. avocado roll, in which the main ingredient is avocado wrapped in in rice and seaweed, or as a component part, i.e. Boston rolls...etc.

Mmm...avocado. I think I'll go and make a ham, turkey, and avocado sandwich right now.

That's probably true everywhere but the Kroger sushi shop, where they call the ones with eels eel rolls so the customers know what they're getting into...
