7. Going back a bit... In the first chapter, the narrator says something like "a woman comes out the bathroom, and to my surprise she ain't you". This 'you' is never mentioned again, and he does not directly address the woman he lives with in the song. Who is it?

yeah, i've heard part 6, or a version of the same cribbed from his MTV appearance. it is quite the disappointment (in relation to what's come before) but i think a lot of that might be down to the performance - it's all a bit frantic and sloppy.

...just so everyone's aware, the VMA preformance was actually a little misdirection on R's part - not the real Pt.6 at all, just a crowd-pleasing (and frankly messy) improv (more or less). i reviewed the DVD for Plan B xmas issue. did i get a copy? you say YES i say NO you say YES i say IT'S THE TRUTH (no).

I expected many things from it, but I really wasn't expecting to love it.

Only seen the recap ("Oh shit!") and episode 13 so far, but if he doesn't get an Oscar for that, there must be something fundamentally wrong with the world today.

Favorite bit is at 2:20. That Randolph, he's a regular Bruce Lee!

I need to watch 13-22 again, but I think they've cemented R. Kelly's genius for me (I think I started equating him with Shakespeare the other night, but I was drunk, so can't remember my argument...). Am liking R's multiple performances. Who knew he had such acting skillz...? Although they're not as astoundingly jaw-droppingly WTF as the originals (and, interestingly, don't seem to rhyme as much) I am now fully drawn into the story and it seems to be rocketing off into all sorts of places (but tied together with one package...). Guh, how long till the next lot?!?

I just watched about forty minutes on IFC, it was oddly engaging and not without merit but what the fuck? Totally redundant, musically, only with buildups, crescendos and slowdowns. The storyline was ridiculous but sometimes funny and I kept watching for a long time. The midget fainted again...the midget's the baby's daddy. Where did he come up with all this shit? The dialog was well-done, though, and he did a great job keeping it rhythmic and flowing, doing all the voices.
Overall, bizzare and interesting and ridiculous.

The "boop!"ing of swear words -- previously unexpurgated -- in Episode Five is hilarious.
