FYI until she gets back on - her battery ran out before she finished distributing the list and asked me to forward them on to the rest of you. however, my attachments won't open, so I have no addresses to send to and nothing to send them anyway. so, sorry! I'm sure she'll be back on soon, but in the meantime, if someone has a moment to email that to me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Open them through Word rahter than directly - that worked for me. You probably need to save them to your desktop first. Thanks Anna!

Anyway, I had a little trouble opening the files at first because somehow they got saved without suffixes (Macs do this sometimes, if you don't specify .rtf or .txt or whatever).

grant, that is very strange because I knew about that problem with saving files on a Mac, and I did save them with the suffix! dammit.

I collected my post the other day and I've only recently plucked up enough courage to actually read it. I thought I'd prepared myself for the threatening barrage of bailiff's letters, but with each demand the flack steadilly increased and I was soon buried beneath the darkness. Then, suddenly two rays of light cut through the gloom and I felt their warmth on my pallid face, lifting me up and charging me with fresh hope...

So, apparently people still don't read the small print (or the FAQ, in this case), and are posting their thank-yous here, but no matter. It doesn't seem to be a problem... :]

I hope everyone is acknowledging receipt of mail, if not on here or the LJ, then at least privately (although I also happen to know that I sent off things that were not acknowledged, for shame, you people, you know who you are. That's not playing the game right!)

Anyway, it's about that time to be accepting the next lot of addresses for the October 1st update, so if you haven't signed up yet and want to, now's your chance! (paging Mr Denfield...)

I'm signed up, have recieved some mail, but have yet to actually get the list of addresses so I can start sending cards of friendliness and joy back out to the world. Having tried PMing the relevant people and hearing nothing back I'll simply request that anyone who wants Dance Card mail from me PM me their address.

The Scientist has many things to give to the world. Maaany things (and only a small percentage are in bacterial form).

I have sent out about half of the things I intend to get out.

not that it matters or I believe anyone who doesn't get stuff from me will be crushed or anything, but I wanted to be sure to note that if you are on the dance card and you see a bunch of people saying they got things from me but you didn't - please don't take it personally! I just ran out of supplies and cash, and I don't know when I'll be able to spare either.
