So, ah, i'm very late to this, having only just finished season 2 the other night (thanks Mister Disco!). I rushed to Barbelith hoping to find some incisive analysis about the season finale, (or at least some idle chitter chatter). But nothing.
It really, really annoyed me. Which is a pity, because I was really getting into the show (apart from Jenny). In particular, I was really pissed off that they had to do the whole 'danger! danger! homebirths always end badly!' thing. Would it be so difficult to show a homebirth in all its guts and glory? And then in that last scene when they are all handing around the baby while poor Tina is all on her own in recovery - I'm telling you, if all my friends held my baby before I got to I would be spitting mad. I suppose it will get some kind of follow up - I might be able to forgive it if it is all serving some kind of plot purpose for season 3 (I will find out tonight - thanks again MD!), but still. I've been stewing over it ever since I saw it, and needed to unburden. Sorry for the bump. |
