Just saw a hedgehog, the first one to venture into my garden since one fell into a foundation trench and drowned last summer. It was polite enough to pose for a few snaps. apologies for the slight blurriness, caffeine hand was activated.

There are three albino tiger babies and one albino lion baby at Safaripark Stukenbrock. They are about two months old, the names of these two are Shani (lion) and Sarmoti.

Not quite a baby, but so moodily shot you just can't resist ...

This bizarre-looking creature is a star-nosed mole, Mother Nature's purpose-built coke fiend. What a shame we got there first.

If you ask me, this thread has been too mammalcentric for its own good.

No, I googled something else entirely, but there were passed out squirrels there, too.

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

There is never anything cute, or indeed un-horrid in any way, about moths.

You're just mothist. You're prejudice against moths.

Actually, that's a great picture.

Am I wrong in observing, though, that the star nosed mole in the posts above looks like of like the abortive love child of a sloth and Great Cthulhu?

Exactly, the Great Old Ones! I was thinking just the same, except for the sloth.

Actually, if the run the picture through the correct 316 filters on PhotoShop, I think you will find that it is, indeed, an accurate and very clear picture of the Lake Champlain Monster, despite the poster likely living nowhere in the proximity of Lake Champlain.

...that is kinda cute, though. Freakishly big toes, but kind of cute.

Lots of new baby pics from zoos here.

Here are some examples:

Sloth Efra and baby Toni

Alpaca Sandona, born in June

"You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me?"

No joke: because of this London ant-eater, all zoo visitors with a big nose can enter free of charge.

...those sloths look almost...human, really. Just the way the picture is set up, and the way that sloth is holding her baby...they just look incredibly human. Like something out of a kid's book.

I melt. Squeeblublubl.

Incidentally, is it me or does that baby alpaca look uncannily like Robert Powell?
