I think the fact that the famous missing slipper was made of glass rather than, like, pottery or metal, suggests that at least ONE of the stepsisters was actually crack, and may not have got on well with either Mary Jane or Sensi.

You're a little confused there. The third sister (which is a lovely novel in it's own right tho a bit offputting at 1500 pages) was actually Crystal Meth, which that other "glass" slipper proves if you chip off a bit and try it. She went on to marry (and subsequently immolate) Count Rock-ula, whom you'll recall sold his wares to children without a hint of shame or remorse. Toothy bastard.

Speaking of Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo....

I was watching a re-run of Saturday Night Live from 1978, and they had a short film they announced as Swan Lake as re-interpreted by dancers Toni Basil and Shabba-Doo.

Sadly, it was very good, with ballet dancers interacting with early breakdancers. I can no longer mock Shabba-Doo, as it appears that he may have actually had talent.

*sobs*

Thank God for Scott Baio. He meets all of my no-talent celebrity needs.

I saw an episode of SNL from 1980, with the B-52s performing. Whatever song I caught them in the middle of was pretty bad, so much so that I thought it was a sketch until I recognized them.
