Got to love Kenzie's reasoning for how there couldn't have been an eviction.

"Nah man. It's a Wednesday. There can't be girls out there - it's school tomorrow."

Oh, for fuck's sake.

Krishnan Guru-Murthy: Brigette's been a real disappointment. She went in saying that she was going to shake things up, showing off amazing legs, Bez and Kenzie were all excited, but now she's just turned into a hag. She's walking round depressed...

Dermot: Why do you think that is?

Yeah. Why do you think that is? Because, obviously, it couldn't be anything to do with you confronting her with her ex mother-in-law in the interests of public entertainment, could it? You fucking dipshits.

[John's] wife seems really cool. I think she knows that he's like that and loves him nonetheless

The Booby's devotion does suggest there is *something* about John that isn't necessarily obvious to the rest of us. But then there's something quite tragic about her too. There was a heartbreaking quote from her in (ahem) Closer magazine:
"I wanted children but John never did, he hates them. There's no point in regretting it, otherwise you become very unhappy. Sometimes you can't have the things you desperately want."

See, I can't quite work out why I feel for John so much. I'm not generally this forgiving. This series of Celeb BB is milking my sympathy glands somehow.

Anyway, I'm completely with you, Jub, about the house's response to Bez's nomination. It really clunked, too. Everyone else seems to get hugs and guilty fawning when they're up for the vote, or feeling wobbly and anxious about it all. But Bez got nothing. And like you say, even when he came to them to admit how insecure it made him feel - no one so much as put a hand on his shoulder.

I caught some of CBBLB last night, and whatever you think about Krish GM's comments on Brigitte (FWIW, if he'd said 'garden gnome' instead of 'hag', I would have pretty much agreed with him), his utilitarian argument for supporting Bez to win was pretty spot on, I thought. I didn't like seeing him lose his shit, but I do think that he's getting a bit of a rough deal inside (see above).

Classic Kenzie and Jeremy wanking conversation last night.

I missed that. What was said?
According to the papers, Jeremy caught Kenzie 'fumbling under the duvet' and told him to "put it away". Also something about the commotion waking Lisa. Was there a proper conversation? An extended exchange of some sort? Some kind of group discussion, even?.....

I retained a measure of sympathy for John until he decided it would be a bright idea to vent his Caprice fixation under the pretense of conscientious objection.

"Lisa I'anson is apparently intent on redefining the words 'smug', 'insincere'. And the phrase 'high-handed, self-satisfied, nauseating she-bore'."

Thank you Charlie Brooker, you are my god.

Smoothly - Place your bets on Bez now.

And smoothly is getting the pints in at the next meet as Bez has indeed won

Yeah good on him. Bit sad though at the same time. Saying how he really needed the experience etc? Don't know what all that was about.

I'm also quite surprised he beat Kenzie. Isn't it teenagers who watch this mostly? Aren't Balzin' Squad "hip"? (I'm not down with the kids anymore). I thought Kenzie's legions of adoring fans would text him to victory.

nah they got dropped by their record label- Bez was a sure thing with students and 30 somethings that've got nothing better to do on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday night- plus he always said he needed the money- that honesty counts for something I reckon.

I didn't see nearly enough of this series- although my fave Bez moment was him trying to explain to Jackie what he did-

"I used to be in a Band"

"B, A, N, D"

"oh bail bonds..." (!!)
