Of course. We have no truck with conformism here. Only the fact that Bush loses. Welcome aboard, me hearty!

I googled "bush loses", and the Barb is #38.
I find this fact remarkably insignificant.

■
15:14 / 25.09.04
Where does significance enter into it? The only singifier I care about are the words "Bush Loses". The signified can go fuck itself. Or Foucault itself, if you prefer,

another idea from Miles:

ou know what would be great? Someone with
webdesign skills to make up a
mock New York Times Front Page (like the paper
version, not the online
version) for Wednesday, 3 November, 2004, with
the main story being, of
course, "Bush Loses", and all the other front
page stories related to Bush's
loss.

Miles, again:

Hi Grant

I saw your followup post on Barbelith. Here's
another downpage story
suggestion:

Unprecedented Global Celebration For Bush Loss

If someone is actually going to whip up this NYT
"front page", I'd suggest
that the main story, "Bush Loses", be written in
full on the front page.
But the associated "down page" stories could show
just the first paragraph
or two, as would be the case on the "real" NYT
front page. A sort of Onion
treatment, if you would...

I don't mind doing some copy writing.

On our kitchen whiteboard my partner wrote "Bush Loses" five times and I wrote "Kerry Wins" five times. Last night a friend of mine who also happens to be a card carrying Tory and supporter of the Bush government rubbed out the "Wins" part and replaced it with various negative statements. He left the "Bush Loses" statements alone. That's why I'm going with Kerry Wins. It's obviously more annoying for Bush supporters.

We gotta pick up abit, we're still behind in the google ratings:

about 716,000 for bush wins
about 161,000 for bush loses.
about 399,000 for kerry wins.
about 77,200 for kerry loses
about 58,000 for bush gets hit by a truck.
about 293 for bush loses his hover donkey.

And don't forget about Bush. Losing. All the time.

A poll conducted Sept. 21-26 indicates 56 per cent of Canadians supported the Democratic candidate, compared with 19 per cent who backed President George W. Bush.

Nice latest blog entry.

Check it out, William Gibson (of all people) has started a blog, and it's all about the president. Like the "You Forgot Poland" people, he definitely deserves a link.

"Bush talks and thinks like Milosevic. He will lose, but the most disheartening thing is the prospect of his religio-nationalist reality-deniers clinging fiercely to the sacred glory of their Lost Cause for the next hundred years. We live under the Confederacy. We're a podunk bunch of swaggering pious hicks."

Sorry to bump this yet again, but you reaaly have to see the ads that Google think are suitable for a blog called Bush Loses. I am awed that (on my browser at least) they think I am talking about toys on eBay and Bush electrical appliances. The other day it linked to the GOP site. Sweet.
