Just watched all the 'making of' bits on the DVD -- surprised to see they don't have one about the voice-over actors, casting, etc. Was a little disappointed by that.

Everything else was great, though - loved the details about the interpersonal dynamics of everyone, esp. the dirt on Brad Bird. Hey, directors have got to be controlling, Type A, very organized, perfectionistic personalities!

>> Seems they left Elasti-Girl's name intact, and I have to wonder if Brad Bird was giving a sly wink to the audience in the know with Mr. Incredible's line to her "You are my greatest adventure."

And I wonder if we'll ever find out how DC/Warner Bros. and Pixar settled the whole 'You can't use the name Elasti-Girl, she's one of the classic Doom Patrol' name dispute. Could Warner/DC really have bowed out of their legal claim graciously? I can't imagine...must have cost 'em some money, and maybe DC decided that the old DP character wasn't important enough to make exclusive.

I watched this movie 1 1/2 times with my little nieces and nephew (all under age 8) and it just never gets old. It's terrific every time I see it. And Jack-Jack Attack is still funny after 12 viewings. (I love the "Di Es Irae" classical music that comes in when Jack first catches on fire.)

I'm in raving mode. The movie is so strong and so well-put together, and it's perfect for little kids and adults, on so many levels. It can get a bit 'mature' but never to the extent where it would offend parents or freak out kids in an inappropriate way.

Incredibles 2 video game being worked on --

courtesy of Cinescape.com:

>> Dan Goldwasser at Soundtrack.net reported that Mr. Incredible is back - but only in the upcoming computer game coming from THQ. The working title is THE INCREDIBLES 2, and much like the first computer game, the music is being composed by Michael Giacchino (who, of course, scored the animated feature film) and Chris Tilton.

On July 8th, in a 4-hour long session at the Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Brothers, the Hollywood Studio Symphony - once more under the baton of Tim Simonec – revisited the music from last year's hit Pixar film. Details on the computer game haven't been announced yet, but there will be new villains - and new themes.

With a 63-piece orchestra blaring away, the cues work well within the musical world established by the feature film, and even if a sequel is years away, gamers will be able to hear this new score when the computer game comes out this fall.
