We had a mouse. We called him 'Rustle' after the sound that first identified us to his presence. He was small. Bigger than a fieldmouse. Definitely not a rat. He lived under our cooker. Sometimes he would poke his head out from under it to test the air and we would have to stamp the ground so he ran away. He woke me up a couple of times just looking at me in bed.
He decided to live in my wardrobe. Yesterday he ran into a plastic bag on my floor and my flatmate put him outside. I'm glad he's gone. He scared me.

Having just read on, y'know, that image board, yesterday, with regards to the Finland shooting (early in the day)-

NINE FRAGS IN WINLAND, FAILED AN HERO

it occurred to me that, callous, unpleasant and downright nasty though that particular example may be, the news would be a much shorter programme if they all just spoke in chanspeak. Seven words, as much detail as an entire article on the BBC's site.

I love Scala. But man, some days I REALLY FRIGGIN' HATE SCALA. I want to love it so much, but then it hurts me again and again and again. I know, I know, I should just leave this abusive relationship, but... ooh, it's so sexy...

Damn! Sorry Greg!

Katy Perry's vocal on I Kissed A Girl reminds me of Vincent D'Onofrio's weird, barking speech from the later stages of Men In Black.

It's disconcerting to get on the internet and discover that hundreds of people have the same weird fetishes that you have.

How can Superman and Green Lantern both have superpowers? Surely what makes Superman super is the yellow sun... wouldn't that be a bit of a fucker for Green Lantern?

Nice one...
Could GL manipulate a chair which would normally be yellow in a completely darkened room?

Not a random thought: No, he couldn't, because the ring itself generates light. The force fields are made of green light, in some way, which is somehow why yellow things are immune. As soon as the force fields turn on, the chair's yellowness comes into existence.

Of course, GL could just lift it with his arms....

Abraham Lincoln was born on the exact same day as Charles Darwin. That´s interesting, and I just found out about it a couple of minutes ago. What are the odds that such historically important people were born on the same day, and yet I don´t see it mentioned anywhere. Also, I once again realized, I´m not good with dates. There are maybe five (in)famous people I know the birthdate of.

Yeah... Wikipedia had Lincoln being born today, so does whitehouse.gov, for those not wanting wikisourses.

Sounds like a nightmare for Confederate Christian Americans: Birthday anniversary for the champion of evolution as well as a potentially gay athiest who freed the slaves...

The one undisputable advantage of being Christian over being Atheist is that you get to gloat to the other party, if you should happen to be right in the end.

Char Aina
14:21 / 04.03.09
One flaw in that, of course, is that gloating about someone's eternal damnation would be quite an un-christian thing to do.

Dead Megatron
15:49 / 04.03.09
Well, they are both probably going to be in Hell, but at least the Christian dude will be able to say "I told you so" to the Atheist dude. It's not much, I admit, but hey!, two tigers, one berry, you know the drill.

X Men Noir can portray constant racism, sexism, and violence, but can't say the word "balls." Funny old world, huh?

And, really, if there is a Heaven and I get up there? I'd like to not see Lincoln for a bit. It'd just sour the whole thing.
