When I first started posting here a few years ago I did a colossally fuckwaddish thing, but not to anyone here on the boards - this was the place I went on my huge angry rant about Invisibles Vol. 3 #2, posting the script and basically denouncing the entire comic and everyone who worked on it, which landed me in serious trouble with my editor, and likely some of those other people. Nearly killed my career before it had begun.

Still, it all worked out in the end...

Well in my own misguided unprofessional way I was doing it for "the good of the book" and so when time came to collect it into a trade paperback, Grant asked if I would be the one to fix it up and re-do some of the pages. So we were on the same side.

It's an old story now, not really worth discussing. The actions of a 23-year-old fuckwad just breaking in to the comic biz.

Well, I was undoubtedly a fuckwad when I first arrived, but IT JUST DIDN'T MATTER. Barbelith/The Nexus was a mewling baby at the time and we were all at it.... Anyway, I'm pretty proud of the fact that a large amount of my fuckwadary centred around the fact that, along with Iao Adonai, I was possibly the first crazy-invisibles-ranting head Barbelith ever knew.

Is there any resource for finding out what old school Barbelithers think about each other, and why some people seem to command respect and others don't? It's very hard as a relatively new member to know who you should just expect to take the piss but you shouldn't get offended cuz they're the resident curmudgeon, or when you're licenced to just say "fuck you" and flip them the bird. Or is this just an initiatory gauntlet every new fuckwad has to stumble through on their own?

Sekhmet : it's a little wierd here at first, maybe really wierd, because there's (or at least it seems like to me) so many intelligent people here and no total idiots that i can think of, so possibly when newbies arrive people get protective of their fave forums a bit, but it's nothing to worry about. Possibly just try lurking a bit more in the forums you like best if your still unsure.
