Hello one and all. A brief appearance; I've just watched Later (REM were pretty good, as were British Sea Power) and so it's time for bed. Tomorrow I've got Literary Festival fun that I booked ages ago; a workshop on writing for journalism in the morning, and John Boorman talking about his autobiography in the evening. Quite knackered, really.
I found Once Upon A Time In Mexico very disappointing - far too much editing, to the point of confusion. The handcuffed-swing sequence was a nice action sequence, but the film was so... unfocused and patchwork. El Mariachi's wonderful - very simple, very focused, lovely arc. Once Upon A Time in Mexico is all over the shop. Shame, that. |
