Ok, I dont have a clue what number we should be at, and the last one was getting long. Nobody ever said what a Fimble was.., but are they some kids tv characters?

Today I took my neice and her friend ice-skating for her birthday. You cannot imagine how exhausting holding kid's hands can be when they are going at 0.001mph. But when they begin falling over every 2 seconds, and you have to haul them up... *phew*.

Tomorrow I've got an interview for Arnotts, and im shitting myself. Iv had one interview, which was a one-person, come in and have a chat type thing. I have a feeling this is gonna be about 3 people Vs. me, and very intimidating. And then theres bound to be a "what experience do you have of customer service" guff, when they know from my CV that the answer is "no".

It'll be for a, well, one of the normal people in Arnott's jobs. Should I wear a white shirt, or is that too formal? Im thinking a black shirt, but then is it too dull with dark trousers? *sigh* Unemployment seems so shiny and nice. But my dad went mental cause he suggested I applied for M&S, and I told him I couldnt cope with those shiny turquoise shirts.

Has everybody had a jolly sunny sunday?

Are you talking Arnotts as in the biscuits?
I know what you mean about the M&S shirts, best avoided! I reckon go for the black shirt as it's just formal enough without being a white shirt!
Don't stress about the customer service question, just think of times when you've recieved good service and mention them.
You'll be fab! xx

Why thankyou
Arnotts as in House Of Fraser as in department store. Not sure what bit in, though. Come to think of it, perhaps biscuits-Arnotts would be a better career. Especially in the quality control area.

An application form for the BodyShop asked about a time when I had given or recieved a great service. I was quite tempted to answer the question truthfully Dont think I'd get the job though...

It was good. The Sun are telling of outrage kids will now try and shoot themselves in the head...not too sure about the two Scottish magicians afterwards though....

I think I'm moving soon, hooray!

My friend nearly wrecked someones head at the weekend, that's not too good.

I'm very tired...

I think that's all my news. Thanks for your time, if you could leave your comments on the sheet provided I'd be grateful.

Still South of the River huh.

Bear
11:06 / 06.10.03
Yup 5th place in London in 2 years and none of them have been North of the river, makes it easier for work and the North SUCKS of course.

South has the better girl-boyz.

Tryphena Absent
11:17 / 06.10.03
You're not telling me that our mulleted precious is a Southener are you? 'Cos I've seen her in Newington and King's Cross and they're both North.

Bear
11:33 / 06.10.03
Who knows I only know her name She looks North though. But people can live in the North but their Souls are in the South, you though I'm afraid are so North it's unbelievable

This is weird someone else post it's too kliquey, too many "in" talk.

How about this weather eh?

Hello, people. Good to see you about, bear.

I'm too busy. I've organised too many things and I need time to just lie down and do nothing.

Tryphena Absent
12:00 / 06.10.03
I dare you to lie down on your office floor.

ello!
Busy busy eh, I have to do reports what fun....

I'm listening to a track by Mclusky which has my name in it, but it's a bit shite though sounds like that "indie" guy from Fame Academy, which isn't a good thing at all.

Alex won eh? She's bit of a boygirl so she deserved to win.

I kinda like Norah Jones I'm guessing that isn't a good thing around these parts.

I nearly ate a sour wine gum last night even though it had cow in it - didn't though.

Ariadne
12:11 / 06.10.03
Well done on the wine gum.

And I'm not busy at work, pah! This is my downtime, it's the rest of life that's too busy.

I might lie down on the floor all the same. If I could find a space, that is. It's a bit messy round here, and there's a bike squashed in behind my chair.

I could just sit on the bike and ring the bell for a wee while, for a break?

God, I'm so wimpy. I hate fighting so much that I can hardly read the Tantrum thread, even though I know it's play-fighting (well, mostly). I read it with my eyes half shut, thinking, no, no, don't say that! No!

Tryphena Absent
12:42 / 06.10.03
Aww, don't be a wuss Ariadne, come vent your rage in an environment where no one minds!

Ariadne
12:43 / 06.10.03
I have no rage. I'm horribly happy. Well, mostly. Even when I'm not, I'm just kind of whingey, rather than shouty. I was made wrong.

I dare you to lie down on your office floor.

Ha! Barbelith Office Monkey! Okay, Anna de L, I dare you to shout: "Maltesers!" at the top of your voice.

I am having a well-deserved rest under my desk, having first drilled a large hole beside the computer so that I can hold the keyboard on my well-rested lap.

I have a French Empire chaise longue squirrelled away here, in the underdesk area, and am reclining in great comfort, wearing turkish slippers and a quilted kimono. I have borrowed the boss' hookah for the afternoon too.

A very small person (but perfectly formed) on a New Deal scheme and wearing a fetching gold lamé thong, is giving me an Ayurvedic head massage and imitating the mating call of the Faroese Sperm Whale, which I find very soothing when stressed.

I would swap it all though for shot on Ariadne's bike and a bell to go dringgg dringgg with.

Hurrah! My interview went rather well. It wasnt scary, it wasnt official, it was just *ahhh-thank god*ish. WHen I walked in, the lady said "oh, nice to put a face to the name. I know all your brothers and sisters, and ur dad was my doctor for years. Nice to meet you at last!"
And she was all lovely, and I found out i'd be working with a girl I sat next to in chemistry for years, and fancied her to buggery, and got a 1 in chemistry because of imagining molecules as her breasts.

I wish working in Arnotts entailed endless internet nothingness, so i could play the office-dares game. It looks fun.
So that was lovely. How are you all, or are you not here?

It is Arnotts as in House Of Fraser dept store; dunno who it was, but someone asked if it was Arnotts biscuits. Although the discounts on both would be nice.

On sunday, I can start driving. Beware world.

Why are people text messaging me at this god-awful hour?! Don't they know I started back to work yesterday? As for work, Gingerbop, I hope you get the job but let me just say be careful what you wish for. I just had 3 weeks of unemployment and I thought what I really needed was some *gainful* employment. Now I can't even stay up till 3 in the morning talking rubbish online cos I have to go "facilitate" at 9 in the morning. Pah.

My dear, I havent been doing *anything* really, since my exams finished, june 5th. At first it was wierd, then it got dull, and now its getting to be normality. Its time for a change. And time for my dad not to whinge about me sponging off them for 4 months. Wait. Make that 17 years. But you know what i am meaning.

However, marks and spencer shirts seemed not so bad today. Not the shirts, of course, because they're awful and shiny and polyester and jade, but because there's always a lovely biscuity smell coming from the coffee shop. Mmmm. Arnotts cafe consist of a floor of crap-coloured floor tiles and 30 year old carpet, with a good helping of people not giving a shit.

Yeah 'bop, it's true, you have to get the parents to stop calling you those kind of names after a while. There's only so much a person can take. And not to worry, I still live with my ma and I've got a few years on you. My one trick is that I'm a really good cook and so when unemployed I usually have a nice dinner on the table for her when she gets in. Is that weird? Am I like my mother's wife? (Or husband, sorry, I try to be PC and I don't want to step on the toes of any of our homemaking brothers).

Saint Keggers

Dont worry about it the average age of people moving way from home is 32!!!I couldn't believe it! Heck if I had to stay that long id kill the parentage and claim the place for myself. And I like my folks!!!
