I just rescued our cat. He'd got himself locked in the airing cupboard, the poor little bugger. He must have been there for hours because I was watching Buffy with my housemate, Ma'at, at around half eleven when I first said I thought I could hear meowing coming from somewhere. She claimed to have heard nothing so I dismissed it. Then, while up playing Baldur's Gate II, I thought I heard it again but, you know, there's a lot of ambient sound on the game and the cries where very intermittent. Eep. I feel very guilty now. I've given him some food and water - and lots of fuss - so he seems all happy and purry now, but still, I really should have noticed sooner...

I'm actually relatively good at tweaking the weather, but any adjustments stack up. I can hold snow up for weeks, but it all has to come down sooner or later.

Poor kitty! He'll get over it, mine frequently curls up in open drawers to sleep, and a black cat on black clothes is kinda hard to see, so sometimes those drawers get closed. But he's loud, so he gets found pretty quickly, none the worse for wear. And love and fuss over them is all any cat really wants. Sometimes I think he gets in the drawer on purpose.

My cat occasionally sleeps on the steps going into the basement. Its dark and he's mostly black. Needless to say alot of swearing occurs when he and I intersect...expecially if I have a wine decanter that needs filling from the carbuoy downstairs...

Yeah, he seems fine. Makes a change from him 'helping' me on the computer by experimentally patting at the keyboard and mouse. Which can be a tad annoying. Or his slightly newer habit of sitting on my monitor and *staring* at me like some warm, furry gargoyle (sorry - warm, furry, *beautiful* gargoyle - no offence, Flynn).

When my cat was a baby, he used to stand in my lap while I wrote and walk on the keyboard of my old black and white laptop, all big ears and paws and skinny legs and black fuzz. He managed to type the word 'golly' in the middle of all the gibberish on the page.

I've just got back from seeing my first live gig in a really long time. The band were good but the venue sucked hugely. I really have to get a better memory for crappy places instead of letting time heal all past grievances.
