Yeah I finally read Venom Carnage mini Dunc even though you never told us what was so great about it.

I didn't find any faults with the book.

That said, it did feel like Milligan was pissing his talent away.

Doesn't Sean Phillips work in much the same way?

Yeah, but he's way better at it than I am

Now now. It's not a competition. You're a big happy family of "ink studs"

Is this Toxin the new character he was referring to?

Yikes...

Scratch that, I see now he was referring to a new character/series for Vertigo.

Milligan is slated to write an arc of JLA:Classified - this news just leaked over on The Pulse, with artist Matthew Clark drawing the story.

Ugh.

I'm not buying, going to look at it in the store.

That said, the last issue of Human Target was my absolute favourite.

The last issue hasn't hit the stand yet has it? there's a "final" story arc that ties the series with that first miniseries yes?
DC has issue #21 on sale April 20 2005:
In the explosive conclusion to the 3-part "The Stealer," Chance returns to Los Angeles bent on revenge against the man who stole his life and identity. But Chance may encounter the biggest surprise of all when he learns there's one grave question still to be answered. Final issue.

I think he means "last" as in "most recent."

I think JH Williams III has started doing it as well.

So now where will I get my Javier Pulido fix? I'm crazy about this guy, especially the issues he colored himself. I can't be alone in thinking this guy's amazing, can I?

Just a reaction.

I'm dreading it'll be from the pay-the-rent Milligan camp like Venom Carnage, Wolverine Punisher, Xmen...

Still, I'll wait and see before I have an opinion.

And so it ends, and ends rather fittingly with an inversion of the original Pete Milligan Human Target series. While I wish it could have gone on longer I'm quite pleased with the way it all tyrned out. It seems that Milligan has managed to pull off a largely satisfying long-form series here or roughly 30 issues vaguely interconnected tightly structured stories. I just hope the end of the series eventually sees collection, that we might eventually see a Human Target Library some day...
