Well, I lost the fight with Synista, but it was a close run thing so I've fortunately only lost 1% of my hull strength and, as far as I can see, about 500 gold. Me scurvy crew are now in training to ensure this doesn't occur again.

Well I won my fight and got some cash out of it. Wasn't terribly satisfying, I have to say. The crew ask for loads more cash when you win a fight so it doesn't really matter if they start off cheap - you end up paying a crapload anyhow...

Yikes! I seem to have an edge in swordsmanship (thanks to 2 days of training) but every other combat skill (swashbuckling & cannon), killmouse has the advantage. I want to know more about killmouse but can't find hir. Wish I knew the ship name, at least.

Weird, when I click on hir name all I get is a view of hir crew, not the captain's rank or ship name.

When I click on "Alerts" I can choose the form of the fight. I chose Hand to Hand. Then I realized that my percentages in all of *those* skills (the overall skills?) are 0%.

Well, I won a fight, my crews skills increased, they demanded more money. I went sailing, my cook poisoned the crew, causing their skills to drop(but their newly increased wages stayed). Im in another fight, which Im losing quite badly, despite having sacked half my crew for actual skilled pirates. Yarr. where's the "Painfully Execute Crew" button?

I trained my crew for two days, during which time they gained no skills whatsoever. And I am second in the Barbeleague, and 19th overall. So I suppose when I go out and have some sea battles, which I'm about to do, I'll slip down the rankings?

There's another great idea for a website... mix it up with the Pirate Wars and you're slashtastic.

I lost my fight, so I'm training for four days. I rather like this use of real-time. The site can only really occupy 5 minutes of time per day (10 if you're really into it).

And D_mass, I dont think you can have more than one of any give occupation. I wanted a ship full of Dread Pirates. Y'know, screw navigation, mapreading, ship fixin, and discipline, and just send 10 psychos out to wreak havoc. Can't be done, sadly.

Okay, I've concluded that I have the most boring pirate ship ever. All that's happened are sailing, fighting, and a bout of food poisoning. At this point I really would rather be the Captain of the Love Boat... how are you having such exciting text-based pirate adventures? Am I missing a few option buttons somewhere? Or have I simply not decked myself out with all the latest pirate accoutrements?
