Meant to say that one up there is my work one. Here's my home one:

A prize to the first one to identify the lurker in the background.

I invariably use something from the Shag Galleries for my desktop, and rotate it every month or so. This month it's:-

Furi Kuri, baby.

Actually, this isn't my wallpaper, mine's blue, and just has the line drawing of Haruko against the scooter, but I can't seem to find that one.

Well it used to be this because I'm a roleplaying spod and it's a nice bit of design.

But at the moment it's stuff from www.diterlizzi.com

I finally got around to doing something with the album covers window's media player hid in my music folder:

So what's on your desktop these days?

I've had this up for about a year now; I still love it truly. I stole it from this guy

I have an ever-expanding library of photographs of my "heroes'on my screen-saver, e.g. Spike Milligan, Jacques Vallee, Huxley, Dahl, Orwell, Peter Mark Roget, Martin Luther King, Kafka, and so on and so forth...

Having them there makes me feel as though they're here looking out for me, almost (as sad as this sounds) like friends. Sometimes their smiles mock me when I'm being lazy, and sometimes I feel a sense of solidarity when our eyes meet. Most of all, they remind me what is important.

I don't know what's wrong with me at the moment, I keep having synaptic misfires (which I won't bore you with). Obviously, I got "wallpaper" and "screen-saver" confused somehow.

If you're still interested,on my desktop I have a picture of my logo (type-writer with wing-mirrors), which one good friend devised in a heartbeat, and which another good friend was kind enough to spend a good while longer drawing for me.

i had my favourite current piece of art until yesterday, by banksy...

but yesterday i changed it to a picture of me, a very bad one of me being a bit silly. which isn't helping my revision one iota.

A parody of the default Windows desktop I did for my windows box as a reminder of how Windows is uglier than Gary Busey. I also did a Katamari Damacy variant but I can't find it.

Nobody's girl

Maybe it's the pregnancy hormones that is making me all gooey over baby animals of late...

Meet Philip, possibly the cutest puppy in the world, cheering me up every time I turn on the monitor.

Benny the Ball
20:15 / 07.06.05
I have a picture of my betrothed. She is standing to the right of the screen, her eyeline drawn to the camera left by a couple of strange dogs out of shot - in the background is the Hollywood sign and behind her right shoulder is a couple of grafettied bins. She is looking fantastic, and has a smile I like, in black track suit trousers with a green top and a scarf, and a cute little kink in her hair. It was taken on the 5th of January of this year, and I love her.

I have a tile-pattern of (what I confidently predict will be) the most awesome comic cover of 2005.

Alex's Grandma
22:28 / 29.01.06
As of today, I have a picture of Jodie Marsh. I used to have a Gaugin, but Gaugin, that tit, that loser, that wanker (11!!!) did not have a six book deal like the J-ster does, and her achievements are, like, a constant inspiration.

All I want to be is like Jodie. In every way. Especially the tits. I mean the book deal.

I would marry la Marsh tomorrow if she asked me, the whore. The frigid, stupid whore princess. I both love and hate her more than my own life.

Potterpuff Sirius and Potterpuff Snape, sitting outside their Potterpuff cottage.

My lovely lovely boys.

(sent to me, I think, by blessed Deva)

Before that, Neneh Cherry.
