Ignatius and Suds, i send you energy. you need some cause once it's in your head, this song stick for days... and Fly, solid-gold-platted genius a little bit too much ? we speak about Craig David, after all.

I've got the new Coral song stuck at the moment, probably mainly because it was the last song I heard this morning - I really like it actually sounds kind of like something from the 70's or 80's or maybe Madness - anyone else heard it? Also the single from Big Brutha (or is it Bruva?) Can't help but tap along with that one...

Pavement - "Embassy Row". And I'm even listening to something completely different at the moment (Lali Puna). That is impressive. Ex-Pavement members, take a bow.

Currently my subconscious is flicking between:

"Mad World" by Tears For Fears (just cos of that cover of it on Donnie Darko)

"H" by Tool

and "Flying Through the Smoke" by New Model Army.

None of them are too bad, really... it's just the transitions that sound a little weird.

My heads nice'n'noisy at the moment, what with 'Smallpox Champion' by Fugazi occupying it and all.

I've never really thought of Fugazi as a "getting stuck in your head" band, but there you go...

I like 'Die Another Day'.

But, it's is not as fine as Ol' Dirty Bastard's cover of 'Sussudio', which I have in my head-'stereo'.

Such a thing does exist. I am not making this up.

This thread needs reviving.

I constantly have songs stuck in my head. Very annoying. The only way to get them out is to replace them with another sticky tune. Or do you know any other ways?*looks hopefully*

I again had this problem yesterday and I don´t even know anymore which songs was giving me grieve. In a matter of seconds I could successfully flush it out of my head with this one (works every time):

Sun of Jamaica, the Dream of Malaika
my love is my sweet memory
Sun of Jamaica, Blue Lady Malaika
Some Day I´ll return, wait and see
Walk in the sand and I´m happy with you
We shall be loving and true
Oh I sure love Malaika
Whit all of my heart
I will allways be faithful and true, yeah true

It´s still doodling in my brain.

'No you can't take it, No you can't take it, No you can't take that away from me' and 'God Money I'd do anything for you', NIN.

Thanks, the Cities game Reznor blade. The Jim'll Fix It theme is the only way to knock a catchy tune out, because it doesn't stick. I've tried the 5,6,7,8's but it's too catchy- 'Woohoo, woohoohoo,...'

Our Lady Has Left the Building
08:47 / 17.09.05
'Push the Button' by the Sugababes. The really irritating thing is that I don't even like the song, though thanks to the constant repition in my mind it's growing on me.

The other day it was 'This Town Aint Big Enough for The Both of Us' by Sparkes. Gaah!

I have no idea where this has come from, but past couple of days:

If you're happy and you know it clap your hands,
If you're happy and you know it clap your hands. If you're happy and you know it and you really want to show it, if you're happy and you know it clap your hands....

I once had to work with someone, who liked to sing a certain inane tune, only for the reason to get it stuck in your head:

der wald und die bäume, die bäume und der wald*
der wald und die bäume, die bäume und der wald (in a different tune)

then he would start again. And again. That dumb f&@k.

* = the wood and the trees, the trees and the wood

I've had the guitar solo from "Stockholm Syndrome" by Muse on endless loop in my head for a bit. Not much of a solo as improvisation goes, by oh my does it keep the tune moving briskly!

The theme song from 'The Littlest Hobo' (seriously, I blame this thread). The damn song has been on a loop in my head all bloody day.

"There's a place, keeps on calling me..."

"he District Sleeps Alone Tonight" by The Postal Service

A catchy electro-pop winning formula; and the lyrics are so elegantly simple and just rather sad.

Thanks to Rayvern pilfering his dvd collection to feed my nostalgia I currently have:

Visionaries! Knights of the Magical Light! Visionaries! Magical powers that fight! Powers of Darkness, of Skill and Speed. (Something. Something.) Visionaries! Knights of the Magical Liiiiiiight!

plus a whole slew of totem power chants running through my poor evil brainstem.

By nature's hand, by craft, by art, what once was one now fly apart!

Having mentioned it in the Britpop thread I now have 'Hanging Around' by Me Me Me wedged in my cranium.

I pray God it stops soon, otherwise drastic measures will have to be taken.

Whisky wins, as for some best-unexplored reason I have "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden on repeat.

Here comes the Riffmaster General with his mighty axe of steel... again. Make it stop, Lord!

All this morning it was the Smoke Shovelling Song by the Incredible String Band, then
Oh, Lord how happy I am,
Oh, Lord how happy I am,
I won't feel sad 'till the whiskey's gone.
Oh, Lord how happy I am!

then the theme to Samurai Jack, and now 'Hanging Around' by Me Me Me.

Thanks Lord Nuneaton Morley.

Quantum, you may claim innocence in the matter of Me Me Me, but you put that bloody song on a CD comp you (very kindly) sent us and I couldn't get it out of my head for WEEKS.

The rest of it was good!

Some Animal Collective tune from Feels. Which means I'm cool. But I wasn't cool 2 hours ago when it was Boyz 2 Men and 'End of the Road'.
