"Guerilla Radio" by Rage Against The Machine. 'Cos I'm subversive, yo.

*cough*

Actually, it's surprisingly conducive to pissed-off working. Which is my other state of being.

'leaving on a jet plane' by john denver (? i think). a bit over the top, since i bought a train ticket to cornwall this morning, to visit my family. and it's a return, so i hardly 'don't know when i'll be back again'.

"Chicago, Chicago... that toddlin' town!"

Because I've just handled a travel feature on New York. So that makes bags of sense.

Cherry Bomb

Well, Frank-o IS from NYC, and he sings that, so maybe it was a logical progression.

I actually have some song about smoking in my head and i think that's cuz I would enjoy smoking right now...

i had Idlewild's "Roseability" stuck in my head all morning, but i got to listen to the Cd this afternoon during drawing class, so that got rid of that right quick.

there is no reason for me to have 'oblivion' by terrorvision in my head.

That's not right...you should be humming Muzak tunes and blissfully going about your pre-programmed menial duties.

I'm going to have put something in your food to make you forget this.

The Negotiation Limerick File:

"Bet you wonder what's been going on.
Bet you think I almost lost my mind.”

"At the risk of soundin' crass I would like to mention
well I'm well aware of your wack intentions...
I'll tell you everybody I've had it
with all these people with static...
I love it when you hit those switches.
A curve ball's what my pitch is."

“Ya read it in the Post and the Daily News
listen everybody let’s show improve…
Tell me what makes you so afraid
of all these people you say you hate.
Jus’ give it one time for your mind
Let’s try to negotiate.”

B-boys, baby!

I hate to say it but Pure and Simple by Hearsay!!!

This is because i've recently woken up from a dream that had one of the girls from Hearsay in it...In the dream she was using her experience of being in the band to advise people on the upcoming 'Building' tests that everyone in the world had to do at that time??? I'd also discoverd that eating bananas gave you a head start in the tests!!??

So i'm here typing this with Pure 'n Simple in my head, eating bananas for my breakfast and feeling somewhat confused...

Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye... for the past 30-odd hours.

Ben Harper apparently did a cover of it, too. (I went looking for how to sing the bridge/chorus part on CDNow, since I don't actually own a copy of the song._

I seem to have had Always on time by Ja'Rule (is that how you write it?) stuck in my head all day, but only the chorus.....

Currently, Rude Buddah by Transglobal Underground. Of course, that it is blaring out of my headphones at the moment might have something to do with it..

=Shmackity-bump-bump-bump!=

Oooold thread but a good one, yes? This is what happens when you avoid schoolwork.

I am having the rotation of "Beri Beri" by the Kleenex, "One Beat" by the Sleater Kinney, and "Romeo" and "I Want You" by the Basement Jaxx in my head tonight. But these songs are the good ones which makes their being in my head much more tolerable than usual selections such as, oh, say "Footloose", that break my brain and hurt my feelings muchly.

The Cat Came Back, by Wade something or other. Animated short by the NFB

The Return Of Rothkoid

Nostalgia means I've got both "What's My Scene?" and "A Place In The Sun" by the Hoodoo Gurus in my head now.

Curse ye, Dave Faulkner.

That would be the Minutemen's "Corona". Having just watched the movie, I'm suprised I haven't got that one.

Instead, it's "False Light" by Isis. Kinda tough having an eight-minute metal track in yer head for a whole day...

The Return Of Rothkoid
06:31 / 25.10.02
And now, "Nowhere Fast" by The Smiths.

...and when I'm lying in my bed
I think about life and I think about death
and neither one particularly appeals to meeee...

"Dust in the wind" I think it was by Kansas. Always have a song going. Must be it's gonna be a Zen day..."all we are is dust in the wind"

We're The Great Old Ones Now
10:48 / 25.10.02
Classical moment - I think it's one of Bach's concertos, but I'm not quite sure. No idea why - there are two men with a blowtorch outside my door and I've spent the morning paying bills. Surely I ought to be hearing Cowboy Junkies or John Cooper Clarke?

Regrettable Juvenilia
11:45 / 25.10.02
Why? Please help.

If the song in question is 'What's Your Flava?', then the answer is: because it's solid-gold-plated genius.

Don't know. It's the one played on the radio a lot way back, with the days of the week. And it's just the chorus ...

The Apple-Picker
12:02 / 25.10.02
5 Million Ways to Kill a CEO. Been in my head for days, I'm telling you.

It probably doesn't help that I'm playing it a lot, too.

'It's just Justin'

Oh, Apple-Picker - I just downloaded '5 million ways...'; "slap 'em up and shake 'em up, and then you'll know" - it's fucking excellent.

'Drums..'

"Moving Right Along" from "The Muppet Movie." Seriously. I can't get it out of my head for anything! I think it's been in there since I was eight years old and it just now awoke from it's dormant state because I saw the movie for the first time in 20+ years.
