On a personal level:
We look around to the people we care about and see them in conflict, or we hear about it from friends.
So we want to help and, in trying, we get drawn into the conflict. Now its bigger, consisting of one more person. In trying to help, we have made the problem worse by making it ours as well.
On a public level:
Foreign policies.
My question is this: When is it best to mind our own business? Whether it's trying to help other countries, to help friends, or to help strangers, how can we decide whether butting our noses into the situation will do harm or good? |
