Oh squatting is very in this season in Vancouver. There is a giant protest squat going on at what used to be a department store. It is at a scale that would probably dwarf what you are planning but yours sounds more fun. Especially if you consider that as a protest the vancouver squat includes pepperspray and police beatings. Less fun.

Here’s the situation in Brentford. The hole in the perimeter fence has been boarded up, as has the lowest open window. There is also a cable of some sorts going into the building, which seems to be new. Before we get paranoid, there was a pretty big fire in some changing rooms next to my yard (definately arson), I think these changes are to do with this.

I would like to suggest a meet in the next few weeks; we can hold it close to the site so everyone can take a look.
Is anybody up for this? Should I PM people with the details or is it safe to broadcast openly?

What kind of time are you looking at? I didn't really want to come back London-way until mid- December and certainly not for the next couple of weekends. I think small details like when can be discussed openly, somehow I don't think the authorities are going to scour the whole area for a group of harmless people. Then you can PM whoever's interested in meeting up with the location.

Oh, I'm involved in yet another squat here in Helsinki, trying to get a party scene, office space and cafe started up in a really fucking cold space isn't the easiest thing. Good luck, people!

Right, let's do this properly, I say early January reconaissance mission so that we can find a way in to this hulk of a building. It's gonna need to be quite early and in the light of the day so we can get a good look I reckon, if someone sends me the exact address of the building and anyone seriously interested PM's me then I'd be happy to organise meeting up but I haven't done anything like this before so I need advice from my elders (who have). Come on, where's our committee?
