I'm going to be pissed, basically. Or elaborately. I haven't decided yet.

So, Heironemus are you aiming for the Deadman look?

I would except the Elvis costume is REALLY small on me and the neckline plunges damn near to my navel, while the mask only just fits over my clavicle. It just doesn't work (I'd look like a nudist who pillaged the last remnants of a costume store). I really need to give that costume away.

I'll probably stay in tonight with my Netflix bounty. Just seems to be in the cards.

I have been eyeing this monstrosity for next year though

I was John Constantine. At a party where there were two other John Constantines. It was all very strange- I think we all looked damn good though.

Every girl I know is going as a flapper girl from the twenties. I don't know why and neither do they. So in my city, there's an army of flappers roaming around getting drunk off three beers apiece. Watch out!

(goodness gracious meme, that's a brilliant costume. sheer originality points to you)

Last minute panic, no costume but a tweaked £1.99 witch's hat and 15 minutes of quickly self-applied makeup resulted in this:

Shame I forgot that I wear glasses and have a double chin. Marvel at some of the others in that set. Please.

I was going to be a stunning Egyptian goddess, complete with lion head and elaborate jewelry.

Due to one thing and another going wrong, I ended up dressed as a cowgirl.

Lucky thing I had backup costumery.

cube: About seven years ago I went as V for Halloween. Most of the costume itself was kind of crap, but the mask was spot on, having been made from a cheap theatrical "comedy" mask. I also had long hair at the time, so that helped the effect.

Baz auked: After doing nothing last year for Hallowe'en, my friends and I have sort of gone overboard this year... Inspired by wanting to be a 'Warriors' style gang, tomorrow night we shall be...The Brides of Christ!

Did you go to that "Warriors" themed party in W'msburg? I was there, dressed in my costume as The Maxx. The party itself was pretty shit, tho, a waste of time and money. I'm hoping Monday night redeems a weekend where the main party was displaced into a space 10 times too small for it and the second was a snooze. Go look at the "Gathering" thread for ideas and lemme know wot think you of any of those plans.

Incidentally, I still yearn to make that Voltron costume, but I've settled for more tenable goals for now. Just you wait, my pretties.

I'm going to be a ninja. I'll be at all of your parties. You won't be able to see me but when someone dies of poison in the ear, you'll know I was there.

I probably should have mentioned that my husband - entirely on his own, mind you - decided to dress as a PIRATE NINJA. It was hilarious.

My original plan to go as The Red Death, a la Roger Corman, has been (somewhat ironically) revived. My glasses throw the look a bit, but I'm willing to be functionally blind at least long enough to make my entrance.

I also get my own personalized drink for the night. Which is nice.
