From Yahoo news today:

"This looks like a rerun of a bad movie and I'm not interested in watching," he said.

(sigh). Wow. I actually agree with the idiot for once...

IMMEDIATE ATTENTION NEEDED:

HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL

FROM: GEORGE WALKER BUSH
DEAR SIR / MADAM,

I AM GEORGE WALKER BUSH, SON OF THE FORMER
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA GEORGE HERBERT WALKER BUSH, AND CURRENTLY
SERVING AS PRESIDENT OF THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. THIS LETTER MIGHT
SURPRISE YOU BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT
MET NEITHER IN PERSON NOR BY CORRESPONDENCE. I
CAME TO KNOW OF YOU IN MY
SEARCH FOR A RELIABLE AND REPUTABLE PERSON TO
HANDLE A VERY CONFIDENTIAL
BUSINESS TRANSACTION, WHICH INVOLVES THE TRANSFER
OF A HUGE SUM OF MONEY TO
AN ACCOUNT REQUIRING MAXIMUM CONFIDENCE.

I AM WRITING YOU IN ABSOLUTE CONFIDENCE PRIMARILY
TO SEEK YOUR ASSISTANCE IN
ACQUIRING OIL FUNDS THAT ARE PRESENTLY TRAPPED IN
THE REPUBLIC OF IRAQ. MY
PARTNERS AND I SOLICIT YOUR ASSISTANCE IN
COMPLETING A TRANSACTION BEGUN BY
MY FATHER, WHO HAS LONG BEEN ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN
THE EXTRACTION OF PETROLEUM
IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND BRAVELY
SERVED HIS COUNTRY AS DIRECTOR
OF THE UNITED STATES CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY.

IN THE DECADE OF THE NINETEEN-EIGHTIES, MY
FATHER, THEN VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, SOUGHT TO WORK WITH THE
GOOD OFFICES OF THE
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF IRAQ TO REGAIN LOST
OIL REVENUE SOURCES IN THE
NEIGHBORING ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN. THIS
UNSUCCESSFUL VENTURE WAS SOON
FOLLOWED BY A FALLING OUT WITH HIS IRAQI PARTNER,
WHO SOUGHT TO ACQUIRE
ADDITIONAL OIL REVENUE SOURCES IN THE NEIGHBORING
EMIRATE OF KUWAIT, A
WHOLLY-OWNED U.S.-BRITISH SUBSIDIARY.

MY FATHER RE-SECURED THE PETROLEUM ASSETS OF
KUWAIT IN 1991 AT A COST OF
SIXTY-ONE BILLION U.S. DOLLARS ($61,000,000,000).
OUT OF THAT COST.

THIRTY-SIX BILLION DOLLARS ($36,000,000,000) WERE
SUPPLIED BY HIS PARTNERS IN
THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA AND OTHER PERSIAN
GULF MONARCHIES, AND SIXTEEN
BILLION DOLLARS ($16,000,000,000) BY GERMAN AND
JAPANESE PARTNERS.

BUT MY FATHER'S FORMER IRAQI BUSINESS PARTNER
REMAINED IN CONTROL OF THE
REPUBLIC OF IRAQ AND ITS PETROLEUM RESERVES.

MY FAMILY IS CALLING FOR YOUR URGENT ASSISTANCE
IN FUNDING THE REMOVAL OF THE
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF IRAQ AND ACQUIRING
THE PETROLEUM ASSETS OF HIS
COUNTRY, AS COMPENSATION FOR THE COSTS OF
REMOVING HIM FROM POWER.

UNFORTUNATELY, OUR PARTNERS FROM 1991 ARE NOT
WILLING TO SHOULDER THE BURDEN
OF THIS NEW VENTURE, WHICH IN ITS UPCOMING PHASE
MAY COST THE SUM OF 100
BILLION TO 200 BILLION DOLLARS ($100,000,000,000
- $200,000,000,000), BOTH IN
THE INITIAL ACQUISITION AND IN LONG-TERM
MANAGEMENT.

WITHOUT THE FUNDS FROM OUR 1991 PARTNERS, WE
WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO ACQUIRE THE
OIL REVENUE TRAPPED WITHIN IRAQ. THAT IS WHY MY
FAMILY AND OUR COLLEAGUES ARE
URGENTLY SEEKING YOUR GRACIOUS ASSISTANCE. OUR
DISTINGUISHED COLLEAGUES IN
THIS BUSINESS TRANSACTION INCLUDE THE SITTING
VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA, RICHARD CHENEY, WHO IS AN
ORIGINAL PARTNER IN THE IRAQ
VENTURE AND FORMER HEAD OF THE ALLIBURTON OIL
COMPANY, AND CONDOLEEZA RICE,
WHOSE PROFESSIONAL DEDICATION TO THE VENTURE WAS
DEMONSTRATED IN THE NAMING
OF A CHEVRON OIL TANKER AFTER HER.

I WOULD BESEECH YOU TO TRANSFER A SUM EQUALING
TEN TO TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT
(10-25 %) OF YOUR YEARLY INCOME TO OUR ACCOUNT TO
AID IN THIS IMPORTANT
VENTURE. THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE OF THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL
FUNCTION AS OUR TRUSTED INTERMEDIARY. I PROPOSE
THAT YOU MAKE THIS TRANSFER
BEFORE THE FIFTEENTH (15TH) OF THE MONTH OF
APRIL.

I KNOW THAT A TRANSACTION OF THIS MAGNITUDE WOULD
MAKE ANYONE APPREHENSIVE
AND WORRIED. BUT I AM ASSURING YOU THAT ALL WILL
BE WELL AT THE END OF THE
DAY. A BOLD STEP TAKEN SHALL NOT BE REGRETTED, I
ASSURE YOU. PLEASE DO BE
INFORMED THAT THIS BUSINESS TRANSACTION IS 100%
LEGAL. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO
CO-OPERATE IN THIS TRANSACTION, PLEASE CONTACT
OUR INTERMEDIARY
REPRESENTATIVES TO FURTHER DISCUSS THE MATTER.

I PRAY THAT YOU UNDERSTAND OUR PLIGHT. MY FAMILY
AND OUR COLLEAGUES WILL BE
FOREVER GRATEFUL. PLEASE REPLY IN STRICT
CONFIDENCE TO THE CONTACT NUMBERS
BELOW.

SINCERELY WITH WARM REGARDS,

GEORGE WALKER BUSH

The guy is such a tit, i really cant believe it.

Does he have any support whatsoever, except for Blair? I mean, i know it is the US after all, but surely out of so many millions, there would be at least ONE person more suited to running the world's largest, and only super-power than that monkey. Seriously...what were the voters thinking? Bloody Florida.

"If this is not evil, then evil has no meaning," Bush said.

Yeah, this quote makes absolutely no sense...
here is a game you might like, maybe you already know it:
http://www.idleworm.com/nws/2002/11/iraq2.shtml

I saw a documentary yesterday, about young people in Iraq.It was just sad - the children there are used to bomb attacks every day. They take it very usual. You could also see young people going to university every day - they are just like all the other teenagers in the world (I say that, because there a people who just think of camels and desert when thinking of Iraq).
Hussain hides chemical bombs in every town, prepared to use them. Even the youngest child is ready to fight for "its leader".
This war will be a big, sad catastrophe. And I guess nobody can stop this shit...

Oh, another thing: I just wanted to say, how good it is to see people of the USA going on the streets demonstrating against this nightmare. I live in a quite small town in Graz, Austria, no demonstrations here. But I am very glad to see, that there are demonstrations.

There's people demonstrating all over, Puppet Master (I'm in the UK, btw)... whether the fuckers in charge actually take notice is another matter. Personally I maintain it's worth yelling even if they're not listening. Yelling AS LOUD AS WE POSSIBLY CAN!!!

Sorry... that gives you absolutely NO help on the subject of American media post 9/11... just thought I'd chuck in some solidarity.

Seriously...what were the voters thinking? Bloody Florida.

Check out gregpalast.com. According to him, it really wasn't the voters, it was the electors. America's being run by a junta right now. If it's any consolation, I don't really believe that the US is going to be able to invade anyone at this point. I think the junta has overreached itself in rhetoric and been outmaneuvered by those pesky "old world Europeans" at the UN. I also think we're in the early stages of a big backlash, where even the pet broadcasters are unable to support the official version of things.

I've been wrong before, of course. But anyway, don't think that this president is expressing the will of the American people.

Okay, this isn't a Bush quote, but I just read it in an article:

Mr Duncan Smith said the party could not duck the asylum issue. "The message to the terrorist must be this: stay at home or you will be sent home," he said.

Right...send those terrorists home?

From Yahoo:

"Also Thursday, Bush directed up to $15 million to be available to deal with the refugee crisis that any military action may produce. "Such an emergency may arise if it becomes necessary for the United States and other nations to use military force to disarm the Iraqi regime of its weapons of mass destruction," Bush said in a memo to Powell"

Fifteen-FUCKING-million? Gee, thanks! That'll REALLY help! How much does a cruise missile cost? How many are they planning to drop on Bagdhad on the first day? 800 was it? AAAARRRGGGHH

Sigh!

Just watching question time on the BBC and the bullshit that some of the pro-war members of the panel is coming out with is truly mind numbing! The only two talking any sense are the liberal democrat and the, (scoff), labour MP! But everytime he says something constructive the gobby Hawks cut him down with a personal insult such as saying he spent Christmas in Baghdad! Jesus, what a bunch of f**kin morons!

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm sick of the Hussain = Hitler argument. True, the guys a scumbag dictator, but how does some one whos been bombed back to the stone age and has a piss poor army exactly go about taking over the entire world? The British and U.S public can rest safe in assurance that their daily dose of sitcoms, talkshows, soaps and bullshit T.V is under no threat just yet!

Actually I was more then a little sickened by the sheer number of people in the audience clapping Leslie and the Tory on the panel. It sickens me to think that people are actually supporting this action, I'm really worried about it, I don't trust statistics but it heartens me to see that the pro-war comebacks were so personally focused on Galloway and the Lib Dem. Unfortunately I don't trust the British public to notice that.

I can't remember where I read it, but someone pointed out the failure of the Hitler argument is the exile option being discussed right now. "He's Evil! Let's give him a plane ticket and get him a nice flat beside Idi Amin!"

82% of Euroupe's population is against the war (I guess most of them already have enough of this)
8 leaders of countries just declared, that they will support Bush. So they work ahainst 82% of their people. I am curious, if Germany and France will give up their position against the war.
