You did!

I was similarly chuckled when I found an inconsistency around the spelling of the img file name for dachshund in the Merriam-Webster online.

This Sunday
20:45 / 29.10.09
Day two of this engagement thing, and it's much like being un-engaged, except more people are emailing with single word messages, like "What?" or "How?" and that used to only happen after parties, if then. Still, I'm enjoying it.

The Australian prime minister, Kevin Rudd, has said he would consider an inquiry into the Church of Scientology after a senator tabled allegations against the organisation including forced abortions, assault, torture, imprisonment, covering up sexual abuse, embezzlement of church funds and blackmail.

Senator Nick Xenophon tabled letters from former officials and staff of the Church of Scientology alleging criminal activity, and demanded a review of the organisation's tax exempt status...

The senator's surname has just given me a massive happy. Do you think he might be related to Xenu?

Cuddle Magic.

Most happy-giving band name ever.

Being pushed around the warehouse at the Ikea in Edmonton on a trolley on a Sunday morning. Loads of happy.

I spent 10 minutes admiring a painting called, "Warrior Poets of the South of Europe Contesting in Song" by F.R.Pickersgill R.A., 1859, in a Hotel Lobby this morning.

I was reading DFW's 'Consider the Lobster' the other day and 'Under the Sea' from 'The Little Mermaid' came on my iTunes.

I've dropped 11kg of unnecessary lipid-filled tissues since January without having to resort to amputation.

Get in!

Yeah but Battlestar Galactica's relentless seriousness and self importance are a big part of why I don't like it anywhere near as much as Lost.

It's not that I need my mind changed. I'd already considered a lot of the stuff you and ED have come up with, it's just that I can't ever see myself making the leap necessary to actually, you know, start listening to them.

Sorry, a bit drunk. Probably not thinking well.

I dunno, Haus, I respect your opinion, but I disagree; In cases where we can't be sure the person displaying anti-social behaviour is a troll, but their behaviour is such that it is disrupting the the board to a significant extent - flying in the face of board policy, refusing to engage in anything like rational debate, being highly offensive - it seems to me that the wisest course of action is to treat them like a troll.

So- I take it someone drunk has access to three people's (so far) accounts and is bored?

Just checking.

Thank God you've checked in, Haus. I was starting to worry there.

Barbelith is weak sauce these days, but it's still nice to shoot for some actual commentary.

Tsuga - well, maybe. These guys are chums - I sort of imagine them as sharing a dorm, and specifically the dorm in Saved by the Bell: The College Years. They might just be having fun together.

And they're having fun! Who could begrudge them that. It's not like the place is getting used for very much else. Best of luck, I say.

I just don't get the Boboss quotes. Is he okay?

ONLY NICE THINGS
22:02 / 04.03.10
I certainly hope so! Boboss is also chums, although I no longer imagine him as living in the dorm from Saved by the Bell: The College Years since he got married. But still nearby, and dropping in to say hello and stuff.

God, I hope he's all right. It would be a downer if this was some sort of ceremony rather than just youthful high spirits.

A group of people have voiced an interest. What now? Do we pore over their posting histories? Are we all being asked to voice opinions on their suitability? Is Tom just going to pick a few at random and bestow moderation powers upon them? What?

GOODBYE

And, it has been very pretty here lately. Like, so pretty it's ridiculous. The weather has been perfect. The fall colors are so vibrant I can hardly stand it. Every day is glorious. The rest of life just can't compete. I made a trail in the woods behind my house, and I took this picture today on it.

I took a walk along some lakes today and had similar surroundings, with orange as well. If I had taken a camera along, I wouldn't have been able to stop or know where to start.

Hey you, yes you there. You reading this. You make me happy.
