Ya know Kane is going to win. Look at the ammount of attention being spent on the big red machine...commerciasls and a soap opera storyline!

...what's that?....

GOLDBERG?

Goldberg STILL gives interviews talking about how much he hates Vince McMahon and the way he runs his business...

But also remember that when he was in WCW he confronted Triple Ego at a Toy Fair and started getting into his face while Trip kept asking him to clam down. If Trip doesn't want you in (*cough cough, Scott Stiener, cough cough*) you don't get an offer.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - WWE is hurting in part because Vince is playing favours, in part because Heyman is not being given enough rope, and in part becasue the very few players they have who can *genuinely* work a mic are not being allowed to express themselves. Jericho needs much more lens time, and not as part of some lame "anti-Americans" schtick....we've been here before, with Sergeant Slaughter and the Iron Sheik, and most obviously with Tram Canada, which seems to have been imported (less AHcksaw Jim Duggan, thank God) from WCW. This benefits nobody, and particulrly in these times makes it incredibly difficult for the wrestlers to regain any face status. Bruning a US flag on the anniversary of 9/11? That's just psychotic, and basically the career death of any wrestler who goes for it.

Jericho, Storm, the Guerreros...these are great workers, who deserve to be competing either for singles gold or at least in a strong and worthwhile cruiserweight division. WCW did this in the early 90s, and the lack of pressure to bulk up meant that Brad Armstrong, Marcus Bagwell, 2 Cold (anyone remember him?) and Ricky Steamboat turned in some superb matches, on regular shows, not even waiting for the big events.

Jericho on the NWO:

I think the NWO idea was doomed from the moment they came in …. there was three old guys that did not really do anything. Hogan turned out to be the best signing out of all three, because he actually was a legend, who still remembered how to be a legend. Hall was gone before you could bat an eye, and Nash got hurt twice in two or three matches. In retrospect, not really a great signing for Vince, but I don't think Vince really expected it to be, I think Vince signed them just to see what would happen and what happened, happened. It wasn't the same as it was before, because those guys could not call the shots like they did before, cause times have changed. Like I said, it was cool having Hogan back on board, and the other two guys did what they did and that was about it.

Oh dear.

Oh my.

Tonight on RAW, Triple H pretended to be Kane and "recreated" (with a mannequin) what supposedly happened in 1992, when Kane climbed into Katie Vick's coffin and engaged in intercourse with the corpse.

Yeah, I can't believe I had to type that either.

I don't care WHO approved that, it doesn't get me to want to tune in next week.

Or ever.

Oh, and Rex? Kane got his ass handed to him on the PPV...the Effect is still in charge at WWE. Time to switch to Smackdown and just ignore RAW.

Well, still no Goldberg (who is now wrasslin in Japan for insane amounts of money)....

But Scott Steiner signed with WWE today and will prolly be on RAW next week.

Hopefully, He won't have to fuck a corpse to get over.

I'm such an Undertaker mark

Anyone in the US watch Smackdown and see the promo for his return?

I wish I still had Satellite TV!!

I think this year things are going to get allot better for WWE, Vince has had enough of shock tactics to win viewers and there are all the returning wrestlers this year...

Wrestlemania this year is going to be the big one - my predictions (sorry I've been hanging around in Wrestling message boards)

Vince vs. Hogan
Kurt vs. Brock
Rock vs. Goldberg
HHH vs. Stone Cold (not sure about this one)

And the old Taker back with the ministry I imagine, the return of large stables....

WOOT

Smackdown has been a great wrassling show except for the "naked wedding" storyline.

And Brock/Angle could be one of the classic matches of all time. Too bad RAW still is in such bad shape.

If we want to know if things are going to get better, we'll be able to tell at Royal Rumble. If Trip goes over on Steiner, it's still His Show and a waste of time to watch.

I'm hearing that Steiner has been less than impressive so far, still like you say better than HHH it's getting old now with him. I heard that he's blaming the likes of Tough Enough for the declining viewing figures, says their killing off the mystery of wrestling and all that.

Agree about the Kurt/Brock match can't see anyway that it can't be a classic.

Darkside Taker though!! Probably means he's on his last run though, I remember reading that an interview with him saying he would bring it back before he retires.

I think the 10th Anniversary Raw will be good too, all the old classics turning up, there was even talk of Bret making an appearance but I think that's been scrapped now.

As we're on the Road to Wrestlemania, a lot of small topics are popping up so:

HHH going with the racial heat on Booker T, calling him boy, making him carry his bags, etc... I don't think I'd mind if I didn't know that Booker was going to have to do the job.

Kurt Angle will be out for at least a YEAR after the event due to a neck injury that will require surgery, and at some point in the next 5 years, he'll need another surgery that will end his career. Damn.

Rock vs Austin with Rock as the heel...I like the buildup, because both are the masters of making you want to see a match, but these two have faced off so many times, I can't see this match being all that exciting.

Undertaker giving the rub to Nathan Jones and doing a tag team event at WM...does this mean UT is winding down his career?

Hogan vs McMahon...how sad is it that McMahon not only looks better than Hogan, but will prolly give a much better performance?

So did anyone catch Wrestlemania? Not only did I miss it but my flatmates mother only set the video for three hours so we'll miss the Rock/ Hogan match. Blegh...

There is no rock/Hogan match. Rock fought Austin and Hogan fought McMahon...

Ahh, my mistake. I have been away from the WWE far too long.

I'm getting Wrestlemania now on an "All Day Ticket". So I'll have about 4 tapes of it.

If anyone wants to borrow a tape, just PM me. Maybe we can make a little mailing chain where one person watches it, then sends it to the next person and so on.

If you ever take a trip down to Cobb County eh? Scary stuff, Miss Elizabeth died at Lex Lugers house? Just read it a second ago, not many details although Luger was arrested for possession on body enhancing drugs (steroids).

Far too many deaths going on in the wrestling business.
