Old-school lurker that I am, I've rarely posted here before. But then this week I've been doing a bunch of stuff that I never did before. Please introduce yourselves. And tell me who you were previously if you have changed your name, for it is awful confusing.

My name's Ben Hill. I'm 25 years old, I like fishing and films, and my girlfriend dumped me last week to go surfing in Australia with this fuckass named Cameron.

You're brand new? Which brand?

(grimaces and waits for the "Which Product Are YOU?!", "How Old-Skool Are YOU?!" personality tests)

old-school lurker? How exactly can you be an old-school lurker? The way I see it, you're a lurker period. Actually can you really be a lurker that's rarely posted? A lurker is someone who never posts and just reads. Therefore, you lie sir!

Oh, that Benny Hill... Such a knowledgeable newbie, too.

I don't really know what the definition of a lurker would be. I guess I was trying to say that I've posted here from time to time and visited more than once. I'm sorry, I'm really lazy! Zocher - How did you find out my Email address? It says hidden in the list.

Well - you did introduce yourself as 'Ben Hill', which rather gave it away...

I think, as a general rule, you delurk when you make your first post.

Only Andy Calo would come up with a fictionsuit named after the villain from "The Thunder Cats", I think...

What's wrong with the Thundercats? I was thinking of using Snarf.

Thunder Cats?

I think I need the services of a search engine!

I know ThunderCats. They made they way to the Antipodes, too.

Mumm-Ra didn't quite have the screechy quality of Skeletor, though.

Trijhaos - I think Snarf is precisely what's wrong with Thundercats...

How can you say that? Snarf was the star of the show, until that little bastard Snarfer stole his thunder.

They were very, errr....monotone, weren't they, the Thundercats? And they always sounded like they were straining for a shit.

Thundercats, back from the day when cartoon programming was of a better quality with things like Willy Fogg, Dogtanian and the yet to be beaten, Lost Cities of Gold.

I'm me, I do fine.

A please to meet you.

After 'Battle of the Planets', everything was starkly downhill. And you can say I said so.

Before Battle Of The Planets, it was downhill. Gatchaman was... dare I say it... ninja. No decapitations in BOTP.

Or so I hear. Really, I'm just parroting second-hand otakuisms.

"Battle of the Planets" had cool weapons and gizmos, sexually ambiguous characters and a non-aerodynamic superplane which caught fire and exploded every single episode. It did just fine without decapitations.

Memory Lane. Or not, for you youngsters.

T'would occassionally (or maybe only once) transform in to the ice phoenix, too.

Weren't the Teenage Mutant NINJA Turtle's post-ThunderCats? I once threw my light-up ThunderCat sword across a table shouting "ThunderCat's HO!" and smashed a vase. Actually only got it back two years ago.

And animation only got worse when they got rid of a programme with a ship called The Rightous Indignation in it. And you fucking know it...

Was surprised to find out (thanks to the damnably ubiquitous BotP solicitations at various comics sites) that it's spelled "Keyop." Presumably an abbreviation, like sysadmin--key operator, or somesuch.

I always assumed it was some sort of quasi-Egyptian thing--Cheop(s), like the pharaoh, but singular.

I'm sure it's been posted a dozen times in other threads, but for those who missed it (you know, newbies like Mumra...), I present:

Thundercats Outtakes.

And Battle of the PLanets ROCKED. I even bought one of the new reissue DVDs.

Oh, wait. Did I say that out loud? Shit.

was watching thundercats the other day on the Toon network, and was shocked to hear mum-ra chanting. while trying to summon up a goddess or some such, something about Yog Sothoth

I'm Cory, and I do fine. I read too many comics, work too many hours, know too much about worthless triva and have a cat who is stanting on her hind legs and waving at me to get my attention.

In five years I will be either living in a cardboard box under a bridge or a published author of no renound.

Hello, I am Lazlo Woodbine the worlds greatest 1950s' American genre detective.
Why hello there Mr ever living!!
I used to be a right cock, but less alcohol and no drugs has saved me from the abyss.
The strongest memory of Thundercats i have, is the episode where Liono had to joust with a medevil knight, but i was much more of a Transformers ("Hexaganel Nuts"), Ulysess 31 and Jayce and the wheeled warriors child.
