Of course, the sad thing is what does the language become when framed into a museum rather than used in pratice? Sort of like a butterfly with a pin through it.
And I must admit that I find this ironic, given China's efforts for the past 5o years to stamp out Sino-Tibetan languages and dialects that weren't Putonghua (Mandarin). |
